Dear friends, a name like Outlaw plays well in da' hood. It just seems well... inappropriate to show up to salute a stinkin' pig! Anyway, there are far too many of them running around in North Carolina. And as we all know too well - da' hood will always have Outlaw as their champion.
That’s pretty bad optics even for a Democrat. Afraid of being called a racist?
From a related story:
” ‘I was there to start the healing process. I know it’s hard for a lot of folks and I know it’s going to be hard,’ Mayor Outlaw said. ‘I know many people are not going to be able to forgive. I have to, as a leader of the city, offer out that forgiveness. If I don’t start it, who is going to?’ “
Well, gee, as long as he knows it’s hard!
What a moron. And a pompous one, to boot. Who the HE-double toothpicks does he think he is? You’re the one responsible for starting the healing process? Don’t do us any favors, chump.
Well, a DimocRAT mayor chooses to honor a black felon who killed one (white) cop and wounded another before the felon was killed.
I guess the DimocRAT was just honoring his base. The New Bern cops must not be union.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Only in the South could folks with a name like that become mayor.
One thing is for sure: he ain’t no Boss Hogg.
In a world paved with *ssholes, this guy’s an avenue all by himself.
New Bern is a trashy town.
No you can’t.
Just don’t call him wacist even if dat honky deserved some chillun’
New Bern ain’t in the moonshine business.
Only idiots from California smear the whole South over a name.
I just found this. This murdering thug sounds like a great guy if you read the newspaper article. In the comments below, one of the replies mentions the murdering thug as a child molester.

Where else is there a mayor named Outlaw? When I saw it, I thought it was too good to be true.
Horrible.
it should be a crime to be a Democrat
It should be a crime to have a name like Outlaw.
20 years ago it was still a decent town. Times change.
I know a cop on the New Bern P.D. I can’t wait to ask her about this. About 12 years ago New Bern got rid of it’s K 9s. Too expensive.
They just reach into their bag of emotional mush and pull out whatever feels good.
The major questions they ask themselves is "How will it look?"and "What is my gain.?"
