REPEAL Obamacare, and pass legislation that would explicity prohibit the government from EVER trying to take over health insurance again.

That’s not the FedGov’s mission. If they want to get involved, they can do “general welfare” changes like free up the markets to allow competition so private insurance providers and private insurance consumers can more freely do business in a more low cost health care environment.

But they should NEVER get directly involved via socialist or fascist policies.

We haven’t had a REAL free-market system in healthcare since probably about the 1920s.

What we had before was a patchwork of overregulation, union perks and anti-consumerism enacted as policy. Much of this was the result of Federal mis-regulation of the insurance companies, the actions of the insurance companies themselves, and the effect of Federal benefit programs.

A new system definitely has to emerge in any case, now that Obamacare has destroyed even the quasi-functional thing we had before, so let’s make it a good one.

Having read things written by both of them, I’d say the new system would have HSA’s, greater consumer choice through the ability to purchase insurance across state lines, a reduction on the amount of control exercised by the unions as well as a reduction on all the Federal tax breaks they get (which the consumer does not), and some way of better allocating and controlling the funds we already spend on medical care to the poor.

Yep, Ryan and Rubio are GOPe Statists. If they can't even say up front Repeal first, then we are screwed.

They will come out with "reforms" not repeal.

Ryan's main goal is to protect the political class in D.C. I loathed the GOPe.
