While channel surfing and finding nothing to watch again last week (with over 200 channels!),
I concur.
I have Netflix and HBO GO which help. Also, I have a rather large collection of old and modern TV series I enjoy. Occasionally, I will marathon a season. [Commercials have been removed, and that makes them more watchable.]

The last good series that I can recall was Law and Order (1990 - 2000) and I never even saw the show until it was in reruns.
