We appreciate the Presidents decision to come to Snohomish County, and we look forward to joining him on April 22nd as he meets with community members, Murray and Cantwell said. We are confident that President Obama will see what we have seen: The tremendous resolve and determination of the people of Oso, Darrington and Arlington in the face of tragedy.
The Presidents visit is another important step in demonstrating the federal governments ongoing commitment to supporting the families, first responders, volunteers and businesses, as they recover from this disaster. We appreciate the decision to make major disaster resources available and by the IRS to grant tax relief and well continue to work for the federal government to provide every resource possible for these communities.

I would have liked it better if they had said they
worked FOR the communities instead of the federal
government...

Pork, opportunity, let no crises go to waste. Patty is a queen of pork.
Just in general, a feel good show to benefit big government extracted from a very emotional tragic event.

It's not surprising that even though Patty is senator representing the whole state of Washington that her Internet page pictures the skyline of Seattle.
Seattle screws up the governance of our whole state.

Re: “Fund raising”
Just read that Obama will attend a memorial service for the Ft. Hood victims, then go straight to a fundraiser.

April 22 is Earth Day.
Coincidence? I think not.

Well at least he didn’t have the pilot of Airforce One do a low flyover so he could just wave from the window. He was going to do this bur relized that he would not have the important phony photo op’s of him looking like he gave a fu** about those who died.

A "little fundraising"? No other explanation. This disaster occurred March 22,2014... Obama was touring Europe at the time. Today, 4/8/2014, the one announces his pilgrimage to Oso through his lap dogs, Cantwell and Murray. What a POS!
I will pass on viewing the photo op where Obama is posed atop a 30 foot deep bed of mud while holding the the arms of our great state elected reps. In the background, unseen by cameras, will be the dedicated people committed to recovering the victims. Those individuals are embarked on a tremendous effort which pulls at the heart of the locals. Stay away Obama. You are as useless here as you are in Washington.

What will his visit do? Will it help anyone? Will it solve anything? NO! It is merely an opportunity for Obemba to get some more face time on the boob tube.....as if we do not suffer with that enough already.

Senator Patty Murray was at one time considered the stupidest Woman politician in DC, a title she richly earned.
Sadly she lost the coveted sobriquet several years ago but I'll be damned if I can remember who holds that honor today although I'm sure it's another Democratic imbecile.

It is an excuse to have him travel on the taxpayers dime for a fundraiser. We shall see if he just stops in Oso and then leave. I would wager he goes to downtown Seattle, Medina, and the Highlands part of Seattle to do some serious fundraising.
