Republican Scott Brown leads incumbent Democratic senator Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire by five points in a recent poll obtained by THE WEEKLY STANDARD. The poll, commissioned by the Republican Governor's Association, was conducted on March 19 and 20 and asked 600 likely voters in New Hampshire who they would vote for in the U.S. Senate election. Respondents were given both Brown and Shaheen's names and their respective parties.

Good. I hope Brown wins. That’ll make the Dems sick.

You need to look at the long game. Keep the Dems locked out of power in the Senate for an election cycle or two and they’ll start retiring in droves. They don’t like being the minority. All their power comes from gimmes.

Funny how that works...you rarely have a choice in Red Hampshire. Look at the Bass/Kuster congressional race from a few years back. Local Christians were proud of their support for the Republican Bass UNTIL it was pointed out that he was just as 'pro-choice' as his democrat opponent. Same thing here...it you are pro-life, you don't have a choice in a Brown/Shaheen race...as intended.

Satan is a clever little so-and-so, isn't he?

People in NH know about "Voting for the lesser of two evils."
Now NH voters will get a taste of what us conservatives in Mass. have had to live with- "Voting for the evil of two lessers." - Tom

There is no alternative to winning, unless you enjoy being a loser.

By sticking to your beliefs and principles; you may be a 'loser' in this world, but you will be a 'winner' in the next.

Remember this too. Brown, if elected, is sure to vote more conservative as a NH Senator than he did as a MA Senator (55-60% w GOP) - simply based on the political demographics.

I’m betting he’d align with Kelly Ayotte (75% w GOP)- who I call a conservative RINO. Which is sort of where NH stands. It’s very conservative for being in the middle of New England, but not exactly Alabama either - especially on social issues.

Brown, as a U.S. Senator from Mass, had to listen to his left-leaning constituency.

Furthermore, as a junior senator from NH, he’s more of a number for increasing the GOP caucus, to me, and not a policy maker. This allows GOP conservatives like Lee, Paul, Cruz et al to lead committees and further the agenda.

My philosophy is always to be pragmatic and realistic. RINOs are fine to me from purple/blue states (i.e. Brown, Ayotte, Collins). Whereas RINOs from conservative states are unacceptable (i.e. McCain, Graham, Alexander, Corker etc). That’s me. I believe Tea Party absolutism in blue/purple states is a pipe dream.

As a Christian, I cannot in good conscience vote for a pro-abortion, pro-gayzista candidate.

As a gun-owner, I cannot in good conscience vote for an anti-gun candidate.

If you can do that, more power to ya.

Yes, crony RINO A against commie RAT B.

Both of whom will vote against the right to life and your rights to self-defense while shoving the whole gayzista enchilada down your throat.

No . thanks.

I will vote principles.

Even we’re outnumbered by commies, baby-killers, and gayzistas, then so be it.

Isaiah Chapter 3 comes to mind.

I am smiling inside because I recall the Scott Brown for President posts after he won his seat a few years ago.

The folks around FR thought he was the second coming—not realizing what a New England Republican is/was.

I had hopes that New Hampshire could do better.

So what?

What is it exactly that repubs do that anyone should be concerned at all with their caucus and whether or not liberal Scott Brown is in it or not?

If I were convinced that the GOP would control the Senate by a comfortable margin, I would support a conservative.

However, GOP control of the Senate is essential. Hold your nose and support the RINO.

The House is a different story. Reject all House RINOs.

Very well stated. There are far too many on this forum who are perfectly content with winning an argument while simultaneously losing an election.

I am supporting Andy Martin.

Just search for "Andy Martin Senate Candidate".
