never a pony guy....mostly a muscle car guy. Mopar. I had a 67 Plymouth Satellite I bought new in fall off 66. It was my Richard Petty car. I should never have sold it.

for any interested I have a VERY rough 67 Mustang under a tarp in my back yard, with title. $1000 takes her.(did I mention it was ROUGH)

my latest project car is a 71 cutlass supreme 350cuin. it has less than 6000 original miles.(this is the wifes grandfathers car...it is NOT for sale but a trade for a cherry 67 satellite is possible)

and my oldest boy just bought a 77 Dodge aspen 318 that is being seen this year in the show ‘The Americans’. the guy who rents them to the studio decided to sell this one....

I’ve had 26 cars over the course of my life (53 now) ranging from absolute junk to some very nice wheels.

My favorite of all of them is a tie between two:

1967 Mustang GT 390 (OMG!) and 1971 Mustang Mach One (351 Cleveland, worked)

The 390 was a beast. That motor was unbelievably powerful for that light car. Miss it.

The Mach One was heavier, and very fast as well, but the 390 was a killer.

Also had a 1968 Mustang GT which I never got on the road, and parted out when the kids were born.

My FIRST car (after I wrecked the family Plymouth Valiant) was a 1969 Chevelle SS convertible, with 396 in it.

Miss the muscle car days.

But - that being said - I love what Dodge did with the Challenger and Charger, and the new retro Mustangs are beautiful.

Growing up my dad went through three Mustangs; a’66, a ‘67 (both light yellow in color), and a dark blue metallic ‘68 with a white interior. He went through a phase I guess where he always needed/wanted the newest Mustang. Fun and great looking cars. Great memories.

When I was in my 20’s I managed to buy my first new car. It was a white ‘93 LX Mustang, 5.0 5-sp. Bitchin car. I put BBK lowering springs on it, bought wider Goodyears for the rear, added BBK headers and a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust. It was fun as hell and sounded bitchin.

Always been a car guy. For the most part I’ve liked the Mustangs over the years and with the recent retro theme cars (Mustangs, Challengers, Camaros) I do like the new Mustangs. However, the Challenger just does it for me!

In 2005 I switched to Dodge. Bought the wife a black RT Magnum Hemi. She now drives a Jazz Blue ‘13 RT Charger. Bitchin car (376 hp that gets 27 mpg!) Me, I have a Plum Crazy ‘10 Challenger RT 6-speed. Love muscle cars - old and new!

"I had a 67 Satellite..."

In '66 my best buddy had a tri-power Goat, baddest car around. So I ordered a '66 Sport Satellite Hemi 4spd from his salesman Grandpa. When the car came in I tested it & was signing papers when the dealer said he wanted another $300, I said no and deal fell through.

Went across street, tried to order a Hemi Charger, they said Chrysler had said no more '66 Hemis could be ordered, due to head problems. Turns out the guy who bought the Satellite cracked three heads in a year, only had it on the road two months out of that year...I really dodged a bullet.

So I didn't get a Hemi until 11/68, a Charger 500 Auto, which I still have. Went looking for my buddy with the Goat, but he had traded for a 396 Chevelle family car....damn. But, at least he drove my car and grudgingly admitted the Goat wouldn't have stood a chance.

Pretty cool that muscle cars are making a comeback, and they are making some real ballbusters. Expensive as hell though.
