Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz politely denounced former Florida Gov. Jeb Bushs defense of illegal immigration, explaining that breaking the law is not positive and beneficial and that turning a blind eye while illegal migrants cross the border is not a humane system.
Cruz appeared on CNNs The Lead with Jake Tapper to discuss Bushs comments from Sunday, when he attempted to somewhat justify illegal immigration by noting its not a felony and is an act of love [and] commitment to your family.
Theres no doubt that immigrants come to this country because they are seeking a better world, they are seeking the American dream and theyre seeking a better life for their kids, Cruz said. And all of that is positive and beneficial. What isnt positive and beneficial is breaking the law to do so.
In my view, we need to be a nation that welcomes and celebrates legal immigrants, the senator continued. People who follow the rules and come here according to the law. Were a nation of immigrants, we need to celebrate that. But at the same time, rule of law matters. And if you look at any sovereign nation, securing your border is critically important.
And Ill tell you one of the big reasons has to do with just the humanity of it, Cruz explained. If you come down to Texas and you see the conditions where you see photographs that are heartbreaking, of bodies of women and children left abandoned in the desert, because they entrust themselves to transnational global criminal cartels who smuggle them in, assault them and leave them to die.

She gave her husband liberty to defile the White House. If she did not know what kind of a man he was, then it is fair to say that she is an idiot. If she allowed the soiling of that sacred edifice for her own acent to power she has murdered her own soul. In either case she is not fit to lead anybody. She should give up the quest for power, drop out of public life, and go searching for her soul, her true self. Perhaps she might find it.
Good points tying Jeb Bush to Hillary.
The Bush family are into trading platforms bigtime (Carlyle Group) and they are worth upwards of 400 Billion.
The Clintons are taking a cut from several ‘charities’ and foundations around the globe, controlling billions upon billions.
The common denominator is a composite of power, influence and money.
And so they give medals to each other.
The corruption has never run so deep in American politics.
See Mena Airport, Bushes and Clintons go way back.
Cruz is absolutely on the money. I think our system is designed to be unworkable.
The inane rules coupled with the lax enforcement should be regarded not as two dysfunctions, but as one calculated and complimentary set. The combination begs illegal entry. Once here, the illegal is a pawn. Very literally in some cases chattel. Cheap labor, sex puppets, vote proxies and mules. The citizens are diminished financially and their votes rendered meaningless. Power is sucked out of everyone except those at the top of the human food chain.
Our elites know this. They WANT this. The Uniparty will never fix this, as it works just fine for what they desire.
“The corruption has never run so deep in American politics.”... Pay your tax bill/health care bill,,, Hostage.
It's because he would allow them to STAY.
Still, there are hundreds on FR who say he is not for amnesty.
That's because he keeps saying he's not for amnesty. It's just that HE defines "Amnesty" as allowing illegal to become citizens.
No difference between his position and any other Republican I've heard from lately.
Amnesty. Plain and simple.
If he won’t use the ‘D-word’, deportation, then you’re right, it is just the same old GOP toro-caca.
I hope you’re mistaken but I can’t think of any instance where he has said that the law must be enforced. And that means deportation of all those foreign citizens who make the GOPe shake in their boots.
...is not a humane system.
*****************
You asked your question without considering what Cruz said about the Coyotes smuggling the illegals across the border, where they then rob, rape and kill them. ...That’s what he meant when he said it is not humane.
1. Severe prosecution of those who hire.
2. Prohibiting the award of Citizenship to the children of Illegals.
3. Denial of ALL public payments to Illegals.
4. Deportation of ALL those encountered in the normal course of police business.
5. Proof of Citizenship to enter the public school system.
And they ask him a lot of trick questions. Does he think Jeb Bush is a conservative. What is he supposed to say? No? I’m glad he has all these good answers ready.
He was leading into his remark about the dead bodies.
The Bushes gave us 8 years of Clinton and eight years of Obama and four liberal Supreme Court Justices! Banish the Bushes to the bush forever. Granny Bush is pro-abortion!
I think Ted Cruz just told Jeb Bush directly, and in a gentlemanly way, to “blow it out your a$$.”
“Good points tying Jeb Bush to Hillary”
The Bushies and Clinton’s are joined at the hip
Was at the NCAA tournament tonight and the camera panned the audience to show George W sitting beside Bill Clinton, both smiling at each other and obviously enjoying each other’s company
Simply vile.
I think we should advocate for this lump of sh** to stop claiming his is a Republican. Just change the freakin party already Jebby, you fake lying....
Illegal, this is not complicated!!!
Cruz control all the way.
It is inhumane and unloving to.every single American citizen and every legal immigrant. It is immoral as well.

Very funny....LOL!
A very extraordinary statement by Cruz that not only puts a lot of nonsense off the table of faux patriots but shows how a true patriot can show the colors of other pretenders to the allegiance to the/our Constitution. I often wonder as a WWII overseas vet how many of these migrants, no matter from where, would show the willingness to die for the USA they pretend to want to be a part of.
