Every regulation should be required to have a pricetag in cost to the economy, with supporting data.

There should be a congressional vote on all this cr@p, not just a review.

The only way to ‘fix’ the EPA is to eliminate it. Fedgov has no Constitutional authority to be in the environment business.

And, you are correct, rktman. These clowns couldn’t conduct an efficient, effective investigation of their own navel lint, let alone anything of importance to the nation.

Since the country is 16 trillion plus in the hole, I would defund EPA 100 percent to save money and let the states make their own choices about regulation of environmental matters. They already have their own agencies, anyway,

“The Congressional Review Act (CRA) allows Congress to review
major rules issued by federal agencies before the rules take effect.
Congress may disapprove new rules, resulting in the rules having no force.
Sen. Inhofe announced Tuesday that he will be filing a CRA report
on any major EPA regulation introduced under President Obama.”

Good.
I’m not familiar with the CRA and will have to read up on it.

The Republicans in the House could ‘$Zero’ the entire budget of the EPA anytime they choose, but they continue to allow it to exist. A new “Conservative” president could effectively do the same by terminating each and every employee of the agency.

The above should be done with some other agencies as well.

If the republicans lack the stomach for the inevitable political fights/debate and inevitable demonization, they should at least assert controls over the runaway agencies by redefining their missions, and using appropriations to do it.

The Republicans had YEARS to do this while GW Bush was president, but didn’t do a thing to roll back the Federal Leviathan. If nothing else, they EXPANDED it, only perhaps a little less than the democrats would have!

Just have this in mind whenever you hear a Republican politician bitch about the effect of the EPA and other agencies on our Liberty and economy. Their lack of action makes them COMPLICIT, as far as I’m concerned.....

Dear Senator Inhofe,

The regulatory branch of government holds more power than the legislative branch of government.
