Id respect him a lot more if he hadnt backed off and apologized for the incident. I agree would on principle, but if memory serves correctly he was finally persuaded or coerced by Republican leaders to apologize. If true, then he had to decide which of two choices would best serve his constituents.

He should have made one of those fake "in the event that I have offended anybody" apologies and then reviewed all the Obama lies. That way you remind people of all the lies. Liberals do it all the time. Anytime they are asked an uncomfortable question they never answer it. They just use it as an excuse to deflect blame.

When it happened, Rahm Emmanuel called up Boehner, cussed a blue streak at him, and demanded an apology. Boehner, spineless as always, complied and ordered Wilson to fall on his sword. I remember it well.
