The Council on American-Islamic Relations, known as CAIR, has been exerting intense political pressure to cancel scheduled screenings of Honor Diaries, depicting practices in Muslim countries, described in the film as systematic, institutionalized misogyny.
Agnieszka Karoluk, representing CAIR-Chicago, was unable to dispute the films claims after being challenged by Fox News Megyn Kelly, but instead found fault with its producers, the Clarion Project.
[Its] a well-known, Islamophobic organization, she claimed. What Im personally disgusted by as a Muslim woman, as a feminist is that someone like the Clarion Project would take this film and use it to promote their own hate-filled agenda.
Human rights attorney Brooke Goldstein countered that CAIR is obviously protesting the content of the film, and said CAIRs position was indefensible, calling CAIR the PR arm of the Muslim Brotherhood. She added, If CAIR doesnt want you to see it, you should take it a a cue to go out and watch this movie, because you know theres truth contained therein.
The back-and-forth between the two women is fascinating, with Goldstein delivering the more debilitating blows.
Kelly jumped in and remarked that CAIR demanded a retraction of her Monday night segment covering the same film. Well guess what youre not getting it, she said.
I wanted to make sure I understood what Megyn was saying. She said in essence, that at the University of Michigan, a film depicting abortion as “life sustaining” is good, but a film about the abuse of Muslim women is banned. “That’s the world we live in.”
Islamophobia = an irrational fear of Islam
There is nothing irrational about fearing those whose “holy” text demands that you be converted (by force if necessary), enslaved (jizya) or killed.
It is perfectly rational not to trust those whose duties include lying for the advancement of Islam.
Sorry, she's not 100% conservative 100% of the time, and she asks our "good" guys hard questions like she does the bad guys. Therefore the detractors must detract! < /sarc >
Do I detect a thread hijack here?
I'm in.
CAIR headquarters: A target-rich environment!
There is now.
Congratulations.
I wonder how many freepers have a automotive interest, especially in cars made during the American decades of Detroit supremacy
I don’t see how women who allow photos of themselves like that to be published enhance the dignity and freedom of womanhood, either.
Exactly. At the very least, she should be wearing a full coverage DOT approved motorcycle helmet with a dark smoke screen.
Otherwise, the cops should take her in, and get her mouthy husband down to the station...He'll break a law.
Are we sure that’s really her or photoshop?
Your right. Ours is a Station Wagon which is 400 HP stock. Pure Torque hooked up to a 4 on the floor. NEVER LOST A RACE. We got it in 1965, and I still have it.

How does the group set up a separate conversation about this?

..... In our neighborhood, the car to own was a 57 Chevy either “candy apple red” or “black”(custom paint, not factory). But, they had the little 283’s bored out to 302’s, ported heads, high lift cam, dual quads, pistons, headers and they were hot and with a slight lift kit they looked super hot!!
Interiors were always all tricked out with rolled and pleated seats etc; etc;
