What is the best Linux distro to use to replace XP? Seen tons of differing opinions on the web but think I’ll get the best advice here. Had an old 1 TB drive ( 2 years ) that I thought was bad and wasn’t. Plan on downloading Linux on a CD, clearing the old drive and installing it there. I want to set up as dual boot making the current XP drive second and the new Linux as primary. Sound OK?

If you have a relatively recent PC, especially one with CPUs having Virtual support, install Linux and create a Windows virtual guest on it.

With virtual technology, flipping between the two Operating Systems then becomes a mouse click instead of a reboot.
