Farmworkers in CA. My dad and all his uncles were farmers. Farmed in CA since mid-1800s.
Lots for farmworkers called BRACEROS.
We need to go back to the bracero program. Pick the crop, then pack up and go home, Bub.

Where does all that gold in Florida come from? Or do they just have a lot of gold traders there?

I think that is more a measure of how little of anything else exportable of value they produce.
Look at Florida. The value of grannie’s old gold exported exceeds the value of all the oranges exported.

Florida has lots of people who move here after selling their homes up North... they bring ‘deposits’ with them but I’ve never heard of the gold thing...

Aren’t “Barf Bags” technically Aircraft Components, too? I bet that’s the leading export from Maui.

Yes, I am from there a long time ago and this little tidbit is greatly surprising. I’ve never once heard of planes being manufactured in Kentucky.
