We reward those who defend what's left of our freedoms by taking away what's left of their freedoms.

FU, Chuckie.

Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini: non-smokers.

FDR, Winston Churchill, Josef Stalin: smokers one and all.

Who won WWII? That’s right - the smokers (with, I must add, the exception of Hideki Tojo, who was a smoker).

"This is something we need to look at," Hagel said of programs to curb smoking and limit tobacco sales. He noted that related health care problems from smoking cost the Defense Department more than $1 billion annually.

We want em healthy when they get shot or blown up.

"Maybe they should start by getting rid of bullets or anything else that might kill somebody"

I think they already started that at Fort Hood.

In the military at least, cigarette smoking became popular during the Crimean War of 1853. It was simpler for English soldiers to copy the enemy and “roll another one” rather than go through the near ritual of pipe smoking.
And now another Crimean War is auditioning...

Homosex is far more dangerous to ones health than smoking. Smoking takes 7 years off of life expectancy. Homosex takes 20(!) years off.

FYI

ALL combatants that smoked in the US War between the States 1861-65 are dead.

Oh yes, all the non smoking combatants are also dead.

Also all the civilians, smoking and non are dead.

Just a ‘thought’.....

Y’know, because THIS is the biggest problem we in the military face every day...

That said, I do enjoy the no smoking in restaurants. So maybe I’m a hypocrite.

My problem is that there was never any law preventing people from opening exclusively non smoking restaurants.

Let’s see. They all have a (D) attached to their name. Coincidence? I think not. They’ll kill the military one way or the other.

LOL. Of course; sooner or later, every single human being on this planet, regardless of race, color or creed, is going to shuffle off this mortal coil. It’s an unavoidable fact.

There’s a lot of folks out there who seem to be of the opinion that if you don’t smoke, don’t drink, don’t eat red meat, get lots of exercise, etc., etc., the human lifespan can be extended to virtual immortality.

That makes me laugh. All of us, from Pharaohs to peasants, from aristocrats and nobles to some poor homeless guy in Calcutta, we’re all gonna board the late-night express to the Big Adios one of these days, and there’s nothing - absolutely nothing - we can do to prevent that.

“I started smoking in boot camp.”

From day one, by unanimous vote of our Senior Drill Instructor, we were a non-smoking platoon. Perhaps so the entire Series. One fellow managed(will&way)to sneak a puff on mess duty, got caught and was treated to a whole pack; hot-boxed with a bucket over his head.

The current CIC obamaumao is a serious smoker. What hypocrisy to demand this of servicepeople.... any more than saying they can’t have a beer or a shot, or both for crying out loud.

The point of the spear is being bent by the REMF and “sarge nobodies” like Hagel (what a joke this clown is— and stupid too).

Point of fact— Army Air Corp crews on long missions were given benzedrine to stay awake- wonder what nanny hagel and obamaumao would say about that, seeing as how the one considers pot from his choom gang background as group pussy.

There seems to be an obsession with the military by Obama, Hagel and the dems. Take their guns, cigarettes, back to back tours that last for a year, tamper with their healthcare, exchanges, commissary and suck up to the gays and transgenders.
