President Obama said yesterday:
The debate over repealing this law is over. The Affordable Care Act is here to stay. ... In the end, history is not kind to those who would deny Americans their basic economic security. Nobody remembers well those who stand in the way of Americas progress or our people. And thats what the Affordable Care Act represents. As messy as its been sometimes, as contentious as its been sometimes, it is progress.
What Republican will stand up today and say something like this:
No, Mr. President. No way, Mr. President. We do not accept, we do not acquiesce in, this deplorable piece of legislation. The debate is not over. The debate will continue. It must continue. What is at stake is sound health care policy for America. But what is also at stake is reversing your attempt, Mr. President, to transform a free country committed to limited government into merely another nation burdened with the worst aspects of big-government nanny-statism.
Mr. President, you have been elected our 44th president. We of course accept that, and we understand that you will continue to fight for your legislation and threaten to veto attempts to repeal and replace it. But we do not accept that you get to decide that the debate is over. We do not accept that you acquire any moral authority by claiming to enlist "history" on your side. We do not accept that your attempt to expand welfare state at the expense of individual liberty and the rule of law is true "progress."
President Obama, you might wish the debate were over. You might think you can intimidate us into conceding the debate is over. But you are wrong. The Republican party

ACA is here to stay!
The Bill of Rights? Well... not so much...
New flash...
Ted Cruz just inked a book deal with an advance of 1.5 million dollars.
Looks Like Ted has support and has plans for office.
I'm jazzed.
Since virtually everything B.O. says is a bald-faced-lie I reckon you can stick a fork in ObamaCare.
It appears than most everyone, myself included, are resisting compliance with this un-Constitution, disastrous Obamination.
Civil disobedience is prevailing in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.
Sing it!
All I want to know is if Clown Prince nobama has resigned as yet or been arrested for his crimes against Free America?
if you are not a zombie voter then you will be sentenced to death via death panel.
Cool cuneiform symbol, I like the way you think.
There NEVER WAS a REAL debate.
It was deceitfully rammed down the throats of Americans . . . passed “so we could see what was in it” . . . . Those who perpetrated the passing of this highly contentious bill without the consent of the people deserve to be drug out into the street and stomped upon until dead. The fact that the Establishment Republicans are willing to let this stand unchallenged tells me everything I need to know about them. On an issue so fundamental to our economic system, form of government, culture and way of life, TO HELL WITH POLITICS. For once in you self-absorbed, miserable lives, do the right thing and fight this with every ounce of strength you have. . . and NEVER give up on taking it down, or those who passed it!!
Amen.
If he likes his scepter, he can keep his scepter. Period.
Submit.
You know sometimes I wish that FR had a like/share option like FB.
How can the debate be over when ACA has yet to be fully implemented?
Same was said about prohibition.
yep over...just like McCain-Feingold...
‘Fundamentally tranform’ cuts two ways, catamite.
and it’s not aca...it’s OBAMACARE
It’s a negotiating tactic, when you’re talking from a point of weakness. “We’re done here.”
Exactly. These maximalist tactics are the only transparent thing about the kenyan. He did the same thing with the I AM NOT NEGOTIATING tactic on the debt ceiling. Yet the beltway GOP simply refuses to engage him and gives away the store. Infuriating.
I was just thinking “We don’t remember who jammed Prohibition down our throats either, but we recognized it was a bad idea and got rid of it”.
The fraud and liar is a moron. FUBAR.
