GOP eyes Dem help on ObamaCare (unbelievably stupid people in the GOP!)

House Republicans will bring three bills to the floor for votes this week that would expand religious and military exemptions under ObamaCare.

And for a change, Republicans are expecting significant help from Democrats to pass the legislation.

GOP leaders are treating the three ObamaCare bills as "suspension" legislation, which means they will get a shorter debate and must pass with a two-thirds majority vote. That's a sign Republicans believe they have enough support from Democrats to pass the bills.

The nerve of these Repubs...yesterday I received an insultingly-worded “survey” from the GOP senate “leader”, boner. These fools just don’t get it. Why would I give any money when they seem to support the DIMs/LIBs. What I gave them was a piece of my mind...they’ll never read it because I didn’t enclose a check.

I don’t generally approve of sleaze, but in the case of saving America from ObamaCare, I’m all for anything that works. I hope someone clever in a GOP-e leader’s staff is planning a trick “let’s vote to repeal this narrow list of sections of the PPACA and save the law” but the final draft will be modified just before the vote to include the same list but somewhere in the middle a passage for the repeal of sections 2711 through 10909 of the PPACA” (the whole terrible law).

Otherwise taking just the most offensive clauses out of this uniformly evil law is a maliciously stupid idea - far too dumb to be an accident.

The chances of repealing prior to 2017 are exactly 0%. All other discussion is purely a thought exercise.

The question is if the American people felt the pain if this was rolled out as written (no exceptions), what would the chances of repeal be THEN?

The GOP is really in a tough position on this one - the old adage of the best way to get rid of a bad law is to enforce it to the letter applies, but at the same time, the effects of this particular law are devastating and there’s a very real desire to grant as much relief as possible until it can be repealed (or altered to the point where it is effectively repealed).

I don’t envy them trying to find the right middle ground between the two, although it may be made easier by the fact that Reid will simply ignore anything that passes the House, bi-partisan or not.

IF they want to be the party of stupid, they’ll have to do it without us conservatives. Good luck with that.

Good point but a hypothetical one. And I think the chances of passing a single payer system are higher than outright repeal.

It’s only hypothetical because of spineless Republicans.

The GOP - ie. Team Romney and Rove
want RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE forever.

Nothing has changed.

America must get rid of the RINOs like
Romney and his ilk.
