U.S. Army leaders told lawmakers today that the service will have to spend less on live-fire maneuver training as a result of the deep cuts to defense spending under sequestration.
Service leaders have been warning Congress for months that these cuts are forcing the Army to cut readiness training. A slightly clearer explanation of what cutting readiness training will mean to combat units emerged during a March 27 hearing before the House Appropriations Committee’s Defense Subcommittee.
“It has come to my attention … that in our budget in the area of marksmanship training for our personnel, both active and Guard, that the funding is being reduced by about 60 percent,” Rep Marcy Kaptur, D-Ohio, who represents the Ohio Army National Guard’s Camp Perry Joint Training Center, told senior Army officials.

So, no live fire training for the US forces to become proficient at killing a foreign enemy, but the DHS, IRS, EPA, HHS, USPS, ATF, DEA all get billions of rounds of hollow point ‘training ammo?”
One wonders just who the enemy these non-DoD agencies are training to kill?

An army soldier told me during Clinton’s later years the guys standing guard went into town and bought their own M-16 ammo as the base had run out. When Bush took over he had his office call the presidents of the bullets and bomb companies and tell them, “Go to 24 hour shifts. We’ll talk price when the president takes office.” (I was at GD when this happened.) They did and he did. Clinton had literally used up all the bullets and bombs and not replaced them. Stealing from training and readiness so they can use the funding for something else is a Democrat standard procedure.
During those years there was a number of times my kids ship could not go out on training - could not afford fuel.
Maybe they could borrow ammo from Homeland Security.
The good news is that, with Obama’s new policies in place, the services will be able to spend more than before on classes in Interior Decoration.
Might as well cut training with live fire, odumbo doesn’t want our soldiers shooting all his muzzie friends with real bullets either. Why waste ammunition?
Then there IS all that ammo the NSA and others have stockpiled to use agains’t US. Why not use that stuff for practice?
What could go wrong?
Maybe we should start a rumor that they will be donating their ammo to the newly formed (per thread yesterday) MB/CAIR sponsored US political party?

The civil agencies will perform the same functions as the German SS did. They will act as the civilian police when the military refuses to fire upon American citizens. Hence, the continuing weakening of the military.
(Also SOP is that the Democrats' "Free Sh*t Army" never has to forego EBT training, Section 8 training, preference training, community organizing training, perpetual grievance training, etc.)

They don’t want the military to be a threat to Obama’s DHS cadres.
...and yet, DoD still has money to spend on Green initiatives and transgender outreach.
