Good evening, Connie, and thank you for the tributes to our troops. *HUGS*

I disappeared last night and came home with a "new" car. Finally got home about 10:45pm.

I started on Sunday and found a really nice Mercury Mountaineer. The sales lady came with me to the house. Alas, my Mom couldn't get in using the step. It was not good, but the lady saw the issue. And I was late getting home to post. LOL!

Later Sunday night she called and said someone had just traded in a 2012 Subaru Outback...all I saw was dollar signs for 2012, BUT....after FR quit on me at work after the thrad got posted I went down there to see it. It hadn't been cleaned up yet, but it lookedok. Test drive to the house. You should have seen the smile on my Mom's face when she got in and out with almost no help. *sigh* So we all went in and talked about so much more than we thought we wanted to spend, but it seems like all the ducks were lining up and we decided to go for it. (She said my Dad approved.) That will be the last car I need to buy for her. And I will put off even thinking about replacing mine now.

I told them the rate I could get at my Credit Union. I ended up with a better rate, because it was newer, and the financing is at my own Credti Union.

After I got home I worked til midnight cleaning out the suburban. I pick up the new one tomorrow night. d:o)

All in all it just seemed like it was meant to be, and I will have the new one for my Mom's dental appointments on Thursday. I haven't been car shopping in 30 years. My car is a 1984. LOL!

AND...something I never would have bought for myself.....sunroof, HEATED seats, and remote start. d:o)

Nice! I bought an Outback a couple of years ago and it's been my best car yet.

Great people, dog and cargo hauler with 8.7" of ground clearance and a fantastic AWD system. It will go almost anywhere in almost any weather! And, it's one of the safest vehicles in a crash. If something happens to mine, I'm getting another one.

If you're looking for owner/driver info, you can find it here:
