Who is Eric Cantor? (Disturbing Answer Alert)
Conservative HQ ^ | 4/1/14 | Jamie Radtke

Posted on 04/01/2014 6:54:24 AM PDT by xzins

Doc Thompson, with Glenn Beck’s The Blaze radio, spent his Monday morning show delving into the question, ‘who is Eric Cantor?’ According to Doc Thompson, many people might be disturbed by some of Eric Cantor’s actions if they were ‘exposed’ to the larger public.

Doc Thompson interviewed Eric Cantor’s Republican Primary opponent, Dave Brat, and they spent considerable time discussing the effort by Cantor, his consultant Ray Allen, and his Young Guns PAC, to get intimately involved in local GOP politics and remove the right of conservatives to attend and vote in upcoming Republican conventions – a practice known as slating. We have discussed this in detail on The Bull Elephant. You can go here and here and here to read about just a few examples of this deplorable tactic that Cantor’s folks are using to silence the conservative grassroots.

Doc Thompson then had Sara James on (founder of the Richmond Tea Party) to discuss her blog post on Eric Cantor’s involvement with the Stock Act. In short, a bipartisan effort in Congress was undertaken (which is extremely rare) to make it illegal for politicians to participate in insider trading. Sort of appalling to think it was ever allowed in the first place! At the last minute Cantor amended the Stock Act so that spouses and family members were excluded! It basically neutered the Stock Act bill, while politicians were able to return to their constituents and claim they had closed the insider trading loophole. It was quite a beautiful Kabuki Dance by Eric Cantor. This is the exact type of political gamesmanship that sickens voters. It is politics in its worse form.

Doc Thompson also discussed Eric Cantor’s connection with Main Street PAC, which has some interesting donor connections. Steve LaTourette, a former moderate Republican member of Congress and current Lobbyist with Main Street PAC, has stated that his goal is to take out the Tea Party and so-called ‘far-right Conservatives.’ This PAC has received donations from unions, Soros connected money, and money from Democrats. You can read all about this story at RedState.

Lastly, Doc Thompson brought up the apparent conflict of interest of Eric Cantor’s wife, Diana Cantor. I have seen other bloggers and many on Facebook express contempt at Doc Thompson for talking about Cantor’s wife – as if he crossed some insidious red line. Here is the problem though – the Washington Post reported that after Diana Cantor was appointed Chairman to the Virginia Retirement Systems Board, Bank of New York Mellon (which is the bank the Virginia Retirement System pays to hold all their pensions and funds) started maxing out each year to Cantor’s PAC. The post stated that:

Each year, the Virginia Retirement System pays Bank of New York Mellon $4.5 million to hold and protect its pension. Records show the bank — sued by the state late Thursday for allegedly defrauding state and local pension funds out of $40 million — began donating the maximum amount under federal law to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s PAC and reelection campaign beginning in May 2010. Cantor’s wife, Diana, joined the VRS board in April of that year, and was appointed board chairwoman June 2010.

I’m sorry, but when you are the Chairman of the VRS Board, dealing with the livelihood and pensions of government employees, and money is being donated to your husband’s PAC while the Bank is being sued for fraud– you are fair game!

Some Republicans have expressed concern, frustration and even anger over the recent blog and news reporting on Eric Cantor’s slating shenanigans and questionable actions as GOP Leader. They frequently quote Reagan’s 11th commandment – although Reagan never said any such thing. Anyone who has seen old footage of Reagan aggressively attacking GOP moderates in the Party knows better. Reagan was not a man of pastels in how he dealt with any issue, but rather a man of bold colors.

Many Republicans, including Eric Cantor, have contributed to our current financial and economic crisis with multiple debt ceiling increases, exorbitant spending, TARP, unfunded liabilities, special interest loopholes, crony capitalism favors and more. Our unwillingness to hold elected officials in our own Party accountable is what has led to an economy that continues to languish. I always find it amazing that Congress can have such low approval ratings, but everyone thinks their elected official is not part of the problem. Before you come to that conclusion, make sure you actually check their voting record and their actions.

Cantor and his wife absolutely love the DC party circuit.

Big dollars and big donors got to Cantor some years back.

He's "gone, baby, gone."

Cantor is heading to the Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island, Florida to speak to the "Main Street Advocacy" organization. Attending the event costs $5,000 a person. It is hosted by the Main Street Partnership, the progressive “Republican” group headed by former Representative Steve LaTourette of Ohio.

We put the word “Republican” in quotes because LaTourette’s group has come under fire for taking money from left-leaning unions, George Soros backed organizations, and a major Democrat donor, so the Main Street Partnership is hardly a grassroots Republican organization, it is the epitome of an “Astroturf” front organized to give the appearance of an alternative to the TEA Party movement.

Who you walk with says a lot about who you are, and the fact that Cantor is willing to spend a weekend at a posh island resort with the Big Government, Big Business, Big Labor types who fund LaTourette’s Main Street Partnership speaks volumes about who Eric Cantor really is.

These people are not part of us. The other thread I posted shows again that McConnell, Cornyn, and Boehner are on the other side EVEN of fiscal conservatism.

If they’re not social or fiscal conservatives, then does it matter if they’re defense conservatives — if they’re even really that. Seriously, isn’t that who Joe Lieberman was?

I am not from his state, but I have never liked this guy.

He is a terrible spokesperson, something oily and slimy about him.

He sounds like a whiner when he speaks.

This is the type that has to go. He has no principles at all.

Limelight-loving Eric Cantor Cantor, his consultant Ray Allen, and his Young Guns PAC, have conspired to "get conservatives"......becoming involved in local GOP politics to remove the right of conservatives to attend and vote in upcoming Republican conventions – a practice known as slating.

Cantor is also connected to the malodorous Main Street PAC. Steve LaTourette, a former Congreessman established his credentials as a "moderate"---and is now gainfully employed as a Main Street PAC lobbyist. LaTourette has stated that his goal is to "take out the Tea Party" and so-called "far-right Conservatives." This smelly PAC has received donations from unions, Soros connected money, and even (ugh) Democrats.

Kicking conservatives to the curb---that's the neocon MO. They squat in the Republican Party---donate lots of money----and take control. And remember how the neocons duped Bush into the trillion dollar Iraq invasion?

THEY'RE B-A-A-AC-K Jeez, these guys are not quitters.....colluding to advance an agenda meant to erase conservatives from the landscape. What stick-to-it-iveness these neocons be. The pukeneos despise conservatives---they came-a-squattin' in the Repub party, and joyfully kicked conservatives to the curb.

BTW, you remember that GW Bush installed the neos in the Office of Special Ops where they connived (using our tax dollars) to get the US to invade Iraq. Puke-duped Bush actually believed the pukeneos when they said that would bring "Middle East peace."

REALITY CHECK The Middle East is still in turmoil 10 years after the pukeneos duped Bush into invading Iraq. A horrendous foreign policy decision devised by the pukeneos on the backs of the 2300 killed on 9/11.

Let's be clear---Iraq's in the Mideast---a place the pukeneos said was "thirsting" for American-style democracy.

(waiting for hysterical laughter to die down)

Same place now known as a terrorist hellhole where trillions of US tax dollars were wasted and rivers of young blood were shed. <><> Where the blood-thirsty Muslim Brotherhood has a stranglehold. <><> Where the WSJ reported neocon godfather, Richard Perle, is starting an oil company with his war profiteering billions (your tax dollars at work).

It took the US about a decade to get out of Iraq....as the globe erupted into Mideast-centered terrorism.....and hate-filled Muslims set sail for America.

But not to worry---at the serene Four Seasons lounge, where the champagne flows, the Iraq War is still seen as a really, really good idea......and hatred for conservatives continues unabated.

Cheers.

=============================================

Mmmmm......sure would like to be a fly on the wall at the Four Seasons---where the puke elite meet downtrodden GOP'ers---- over chilled Cristal, imported room temp Brie and water crackers.

Rubio just hired a puke for his campaign team. Looks like there's gonna be A LOT MORE puke-invasions and land wars since the pukes duped Bush into invading Iran, now that the entire 100 million-strong Muslim world is aflame with hatred for the US, Americans, and Christians.

PIN THE TAIL ON THE COUNTRY THE US SHOULD INVADE NEXT--I guess the pukes will have to pin donkey tails on a Mideast map to decide which country they want the US to invade next (cackle).

====================================================================

REFERENCE On the eve of the US invasion of Iraq, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee heard testimony from Marine Corps Gen Anthony Zinni---and other millitary experts---that the architects of the Iraq invasion were totally ill-prepared for a post-combat occupation. The military experts ridiculed administration claims that rebuilding could be achieved within two years, that the weapons of mass destruction would be destroyed-------and that a vibrant new political and economic system would emerge.

AFTERMATH Ten years later, Iraq---and the rest of the Mideast---has yet to create a viable political and economic system....(a system the pukes knew was totally incompatible w/ archaic Islamicist thinking).

This will never happen, but we need to seriously “clean house” and the situation with the Federal government needs to go back to where politicians have REAL jobs and only go to DC a couple months a year for necessary business (not spending all year coming up with laws to regulate everything under the sun and give perks to their special interest groups). The liars say/promise anything to get elected and as soon as they are, it’s all about getting re-elected and accumulating wealth/power while the people who elected them and America’s best interests fall by the wayside. There are very few exceptions to these corruptocrats.

Just my personal observation:

When politicians in particular begin to practice evil, they begin to look evil, their whole demeanor changes, is it just me or has others observed this as well?

I think you are correct. Like when you look at your dog or cat.
If YOU think he/she should be happy you perceive a ‘grin’ on their face, if YOU think he/she should be sad, you perceive a ‘grimace’.

Maybe a better example is the GPS DUDE/GAL.

Ever notice if ‘it’ alerts you that you missed a turn and you keep going that EACH and EVERY time ‘it’ tells you to ‘MAKE A U TURN’ that the voice gets more and more ‘disgusted’ with you?

This is especially true when you DELIBERATELY make a wrong turn or ??? just to ‘have someone to talk to’ on a long trip.

The more you either ignore or defy ‘it’ the nastier the tone of the voice gets.....

Which, in itself, may make many to feel they are back home again, not on the road in the middle of the night, 500 miles away.
