I’m embarrassed at how my former Service is “leading” the way to an anti-Christian ideology in the Armed Forces. FReepers, please think twice before recommending military service to young people. The military is in a dark place now.
Sadly, I have to agree. Part of my job as a Flight Commander was to encourage members to reenlist when their term was up, and I worked that issue hard with good people. That was then. I retired in 2007. I held the belief for quite a while that if things blew up and they called me back, I would be there in a flash. Seeing how things are now, it would be “No thanks”. Nor, can I recommend military service to anyone these days. I feel so bad for the dedicated members still serving, watching as senior “leadership” takes them on a controlled descent into terrain. It will not end well.
