If I remember right what keeps Ebola from becoming a real problem is that it kills people so quickly they don’t really have time to flee. This is a case, an odd one where if a disease became slightly less virulent and took a bit longer for those infected to show symptoms it would actually be worse.
If that has happened here look out!

Roads aren't always a good thing. Bats are believed to be the primary disease vector. Obviously they don't need roads.
