Beg pardon. I’m having a major tussle with some food allergies lately; and getting worse all the time. Allergic to gluten (wheat), lactose, and chocolate. Tummy hurts and blowing up like a balloon. - Chocolate got to where it gave me horrible honkers of a recurring headache, until I figured out what was doing it several years ago & stayed off chocolate for about 6 yrs. until I got the THEOBROMINE out of my system. Now I can have a bit of chocolate, but not a lot else the headaches start back up. When I drink milk, tummy bloats up like a balloon, same with wheat. I have some heritage wheat that’s low in gluten that I plan to try later. It’s difficult and husband doesn’t help by making fun of my bloated belly. Anyway, these things are real; and getting worse for me all the time.

Have you tried going 100% gluten free? [I see in Whole Foods they have lots of different displays of different things saying gluten free.] I think some problems take a little time to work themselves out.

Have you tried going GMO free? I read that many are helped with that - doctors regularly advise pts to do that.

How about aspertame, and all its other names - and places it comes in - pop drinks, et al. Known to be bad bad.

[Having been thru a long and gruesome digestive problem myself, and having learned a lot of new things along the way, I like to pass on some things, here is another:]

Probiotics. really helpful

There are lots of pill-types. But probiotics are live things, so how do they do well in a dry pill. Anyway, what I take, on a regular basis - keeps intestinal bacteria better even when no particular problem - is a liquid which comes in a bottle, 16 oz. ‘2TB after each meal’ ‘promotes intestinal health’

I get it at WholeFoods. It should be kept refrigerated in the display. One of the WF stores around me was keeping it not refrigerated and I didnt like the looks of what I saw when I opened that. I get it now only from the other store that refer’s it.

I too often - bad - leave leftovers too long, and do bad to my insides. So I have kinda regular experience with how well this liquid probiotic works, and I do really think it works well.

(My problem went on for years, thru all sorts of things - bad doctors, defective lab work, strong antibiotics and still it went on - until I had appendicitis, in old age!)
