[Having been thru a long and gruesome digestive problem myself, and having learned a lot of new things along the way, I like to pass on some things, here is another:]
Probiotics. really helpful
There are lots of pill-types. But probiotics are live things, so how do they do well in a dry pill. Anyway, what I take, on a regular basis - keeps intestinal bacteria better even when no particular problem - is a liquid which comes in a bottle, 16 oz. ‘2TB after each meal’ ‘promotes intestinal health’
I get it at WholeFoods. It should be kept refrigerated in the display. One of the WF stores around me was keeping it not refrigerated and I didnt like the looks of what I saw when I opened that. I get it now only from the other store that refer’s it.
I too often - bad - leave leftovers too long, and do bad to my insides. So I have kinda regular experience with how well this liquid probiotic works, and I do really think it works well.
(My problem went on for years, thru all sorts of things - bad doctors, defective lab work, strong antibiotics and still it went on - until I had appendicitis, in old age!)
Thanks for the information. I take probiotics; just not on a daily basis - maybe I should take them daily. I take Jordan Rubin’s brand of probiotics; don’t know if I should try some other brand. - I just ate a little thin crust pizza, first bit of gluten in days. Guess I’ll regret it later. Anyway, this digestive thing really is a bummer. :o(
