These are the same people with no one better than Prince Jeb to run, right?
Idiots.
Only the smug and smarmy idiots at NYT would say this is a cognitive dissonance. History is filled with weak and feckless emperors who frittered away the empire abroad in favor of using dictatorial powers at home against their own people.
In one moment, they say the president is feckless and weak. . . in terms of foreign policy.
But in the next, they say Mr. Obama is presiding over an imperial presidency that is exercising power that verges on dictatorial. . . on the home front (i.e. domestic affairs).
Yes, bitch. Pay attention: He's weak and feckless in foreign policy and a lawless dictator at home. Get it?
This is an idiotic strategy and it largely insulates other democrats. The problem is the democrats, with obama at the wheel.
” Republicans, poised for strong gains in the midterm elections”
So says NYT,,is this the kiss of death?
As if there were never any emperors who were terrible at foreign relations.
With the help of a conservative congress, a conservative POTUS should agree to reduce the unconstitutional powers of the president with the following:
1) Prohibit Presidential Signing Statements, Czars, recess appointments for terms longer than the recess without senate approval, land-grabbing presidential proclamations, and the agreement that future State of the Union addresses will be in writing, only, to save both time and money.
2) Restoration of the Posse Comitatus Act and the War Powers Act. Strict delineated limits on Executive Privilege.
3) Elimination of much of the job security found in federal employment, so if a job is eliminated there is no obligation to laterally shift employees or to continue their employment.
NYT can’t be that stupid.
So that only leaves deceitful.
Oh good! An incoherent message that the uneducated low info types won’t understand! Perfect!
So much better than “Obama and the Democrats are giving control of your internet to China and Russia”
Or....
ObamaCare Sucks and so do the Democrats who shoved it up your a$$.
Well done. Go test that slogan in a “Man on the street” style poll. I’m sure it will do real well.
End sarc.
Talk about an “imperial presidency” - check this out ... Obama’s is directly telling the military how to deal with sex abuse cases... Excuse for a purge is probably more like it...
Political hunt for sex abusers puts military justice in peril, lawyers say
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/mar/30/political-hunt-for-sex-abusers-puts-military-justi/
But before you complain about having it both ways here, consider that 0bama has stated that Putin's invasion of Crimea was a sign of weakness.
Yes he can.
Incompetent leader abroad.
Jackbooted thug at home.
Yes.
He can.
Not terrible...but how about “Repeal Obamacare” and “Culture of Corruption” and “Jobs for Heteros AND Homos”?
ObamaCARE/RomneyCARE is the rallying cry.
BUT
the GOP and Romney created, and still want, DeathCARE.
G.O.P. = GAVE(GIVES) OBAMA POWER
If Jeb Bush wins the Rove appinted GOP abominomination, the GOP cpnservative base will vote only for TP candidates. We know our stuff now, no more RINOplasty for the Tea Party.
No more enabling the left. We want our country back.
The kids have run the store and its nearly brought the downfall of a great nation. Time to put adults back in charge.
Time for Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Trey Gowdy to step up.
It’s actually pretty easy to be both imperial and feckless. He’s got one attitude for one group of people, another for everyone else.
Imperial president: running roughshod over constitution, attacking republicans and conservatives, usurping power granted to Congress or states, destroying any individual peon who stands up to him
Feckless and weak: dealing with anyone who not on the Right, dealing with any foreign leader, trying to project power abroad, alienating allies, emboldening enemies
Let him destroy the nation so they can get some rinos elected.
!^#%^&!!!
