...officially both sides said cooperation between the two countries is good. But people familiar with both countries' efforts say that isn't always the case.

"Washington seems to be a leaky boat," said one person familiar with the Malaysian investigation. "It erodes trust." Nevertheless, this person said concern about the Americans' role isn't seriously impeding the investigation. "We have been surprised at how many people we have been able to rope into this," this person said.

Boeing, without the full involvement of Malaysian investigators, has run some computer models of the last phase of the flight, highlighting another point of tension in the probe, two people familiar with the matter said. These so-called engineering simulations seek to lay out the most likely movements of the plane before and after it is presumed to have run out of fuel. Such work typically would be more closely coordinated with leaders of the overall investigations, according to these people.
Boeing on Friday re-emphasized that it continues to serve as a technical adviser to the NTSB.
:snip:
From the beginning...Boeing was upset that it took about three hoursmuch longer than would be typicalfor Malaysian authorities to inform company representatives the jet hadn't been heard from.
Boeing's team remains "quite frustrated and doesn't trust the process," according to one person familiar with the company's views.

"The Malaysians have a much closer association with the AAIB" than with the NTSB, according to one person familiar with Malaysia Airlines' operations.

Maybe the problem has something to do with the fact that Malaysia has been lying like a muslim rug since day one.
Nobody at this point trusts Malaysia — even the Malaysians.
Never trust a Muslim country.
the reason I posted this was mostly for the relevation that Malay delayed notifying Boeing for 3 hours that the aircraft was missing. I don’t think I’d heard that before and I found that curious.
I also found curious (and unacceptable) that Malay seems to be insisting that any participating country give them full intel disclosure, but, apparently, are not to act on their own (Boeing tests being belittled and NTS experts being excluded), that Malay be the sole director and mouthpiece. It makes one wonder if this is still a search and rescue mission or a new agenda focused on testing capabilities.
Just 3 hours???
Malaysian ATC was notified by Vietnamese ATC within 10 minutes and got no response from them.
Just think how things may have been different if the Malaysian military had had the presence of mind to send up planes to check on it. 238 people might still be alive --
Boeing people and Rolls Royce people are the ones telling Gen McInerny that plane is in Pakistan/Iran.
The same can be said of Obama.
Maybe the Malaysian Military was part of it.
That's not true --
Boeing and Rolls Royce contract out with Inmarsat and they stand with their technical expertise in this matter.
If they were then they just lit the fuse for their own demise.
General McInerney said his contacts there were saying they thought the plane was in Pakistan. He further stated that those same people had confirmed this to LIGNET.
How did they confirm it — with locks of the hair of 239 passengers.
Surely if it was on the ground up there or anywhere there would be pictures by now — but there is nothing.
Meanwhile Boeing and Rolls Royce and the search teams of 14 nations stand by Inmarsat and their more reliable sources — Dr. Doppler and Dr Ping:

Yeh, OK. Wake me up when they retrieve the plane from the Inidan Ocean or the black box. Meanwhile on an airstrip in Pakistan/Iran. :-)
