5.3 in La Habra, felt it in my car near Pomona when I pulled into the parking space. Some small items fell from shelves this time... First time in a long time that’s happen.

Stay safe! I have seen some comments on other webforums, everyone seems to be scrambling for information.

Prayers for the people of SoCal.

Felt here in Cypress, Orange County. A big jolt with some rolling. I don’t know how far away I am from the epicenter. I would say maybe a 4.5-5 in my neighborhood.

Can we maybe change the description?

I mean it was significant, but not huge.

5.4 is not “very large”. I’ve been in after shocks bigger than that:)

First quake was a foreshock; this looks like the main shock? There are going to be rolling aftershocks.

Looks like a moderate southern California earthquake. It isn’t the Big One, that is for sure.

Its exciting to live through. We don’t have earthquake country here in Colorado.

Felt it near Desert Hot Springs by the San Andreas. About 4 seconds, with period about the same as the building’s. Felt like a 3.0 from here.

My first earthquake in Southern CA was almost 4 years ago on Mothers Day. It was a 7.1+ and although I’ve been through several since, anything under a 6.0 is just background noise. :)

5.1 near La Habra (4th of the evening 3.4-5.1). I think “huge” is reserved for 7+ on the Richter. ;-) USGS: http://goo.gl/uG0MhO
