Just had a very large violent quake here in So Cal. Scary.
Felt it here on the Westside, did NOT feel the original one since I am pretty far away but this one I felt, it was a rolling motion, kind of made me nauseous like your on a boat
All the earthquake kits at the local Wal Mart disappeared from the shelves within minutes.

Felt it pretty strong in Azusa.
Felt it near Desert Hot Springs by the San Andreas. About 4 seconds, with period about the same as the building’s. Felt like a 3.0 from here.
wow that was hugh.
Yes. Buddy in Diamond Bar had several items fall off and break.
Yes, prayers for you all. Just another few min ago, people reporting on it, 5.4
My first earthquake in Southern CA was almost 4 years ago on Mothers Day. It was a 7.1+ and although I’ve been through several since, anything under a 6.0 is just background noise. :)
there’s only been 2 in my lifetime that were large enough to be good for business, 1952 and 1971.
5.1 near La Habra (4th of the evening 3.4-5.1). I think “huge” is reserved for 7+ on the Richter. ;-) USGS: http://goo.gl/uG0MhO
Downgraded to 5.1.
From a friend near the quake: most photos fell off the walls, medicine cabinets emptied, broken glass on floor and a big crack in a wall.
I felt it it was good shaker in my area
ping
Yep. I was in the Loma Prieta earthquake. Anything under a 6 doesn’t feel too big compared to that one.
Bookshelfs falling over.
No big deal unless it falls on you our the kid.
Anybody wonder what people back east think of us nuts comparing notes about our houses rolling back and forth?
Beats dodging tornados and lightning bolts like they get.
