PERTH, Australia (CBS News/CBSDC/AP) A Thai satellite has detected about 300 objects near the search area for the missing Malaysia Airlines jetliner, officials in Bangkok said Thursday, but there was little chance of getting human eyes across those items in the near term as weather again forced officials to halt the search for debris by air.
Anond Snidvongs, director of Thailands space technology development agency, said Thursday the images showed 300 objects of various sizes in the southern Indian Ocean about 1,675 miles southwest of Perth. He said the images were taken by the Thaichote satellite on Monday, took two days to process and were relayed to Malaysian authorities on Wednesday.
Anond said the objects were about 125 miles from the area where a French satellite on Sunday spotted 122 objects. It remains uncertain whether any of the objects seen by satellites to date were from Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, which disappeared March 8 with 239 people aboard.
---
At a news conference in Kuala Lumpur, Hishammuddin said some of the objects seen by the French satellite appeared to be bright, possibly indicating solid materials.
But experts cautioned that the areas frequent high seas and bad weather and its distance from land complicated an already-trying search.
In addition, one expert told CBS News it was highly likely that it is trash and not evidence of the plane.

I'm reverting back to the stashed-somehwere-in-Pakistan theory.
My understanding is that flow is from the south heading northeasterly in this area.
Pondering and looking at a map...I agree...not here but in Pakistan.
Goes without saying. They were given the coordinates and the worlds best sub Chaser / oceanic intel planes could not find a thing (P-3 Orions and the latest in technology P-8 Poseidon) after how many days and missions and multiple satellite “sigtings”.
In addition to the Doofus-in-Chief foreign policy magic, this all must have our enemies bent over laughing uncontrollably. I know people who fly and crew these aircraft and from what I know of them, something is VERY wrong.

Not in Pakistan ... according to Inmarsat and the AAIB (UK Air Accidents Investigation Board).
I watched a You Tube video yesterday shot from the helmsman’s perspective on one of the search ships.
This was on a day considered “safe” enough to search.
All I can say is “Wow.”
The swells are easily 30 feet, and come at you from almost direction.
The scariest part is when the ship glides down into a trough and two or three waves in a row break across its bow.
I’ll guess the ship is at least 100 meters in length, but the waves are washing halfway back to the pilot house.
The video has sound, too, which just adds to the drama.
or maybe it really is scattered all over the south Indian Ocean. I think it's probably best to assume its hidden in a bunker waiting for our guard to come down though. Until proven otherwise.
When our twins were about 7, we went to the I-Max and saw an ocean film that had some scenes like this - I had one of the girls on my lap, and she was so tense when the waves were crashing I thought she would just about crack in two.
CNN BREAKING NEWS: Searchers have found a floating styrofoam cup... PROOF that MH-370 is down there!
They're having a panel discussion on it tonight!
Yep —
It all looks so calm and inviting from miles above and miles away on a computer screen, but the ocean can churn up stuff to the surface one minute for a satellite snapshot and then churn it under the next.
There ‘s a reason the pilot took it down there evading radar and air traffic all the way. He did it so no trace of it would ever be found and before they ever found the black boxes, if they ever did, the insurance would already have paid out.
2 hour special, 8-10pm! LMAO!
“”CNN BREAKING NEWS: Searchers have found a floating styrofoam cup...

And Piers Morgan will blame it on W.
And won't be resolved till next week when they show a picture of the suspected cup.
I recently talked with a guy that sails/lives on the open oceans. He said he’s seen all sorts of trash including a big black dildo.
They show that same footage everyday. LOL
Was it anywhere near a styrofoam cup?
How could a satellite see a joint session of Congress?
