D1 football players receive money and a lot of other things within the rules. The things they actually are allowed to receive and do is never made public. Just the continual tear jerk stories. No they don’t receive money, NCAA doesn’t even allow athletic scholarship to include stipends. Anything they’re receiving is under the table or otherwise carefully constructed.
