I have family in Kentucky and they open carry. I wonder if Louisville has a city ordinance restricting that right.

No, it does not.

Even though I live in a nice, upscale neighborhood, I never leave the house unarmed.

Usually during my after dinner walk.

Either a Cold Steel 4" Serrated folder or the "Big Bad" - a Cold Steel 6" Serrated folder. Serrations are nasty, like a broken bottle on a handle. Just two of several knives I own. The Spyderco Serrated Karambit is pretty nasty as well, but just 3.75". I prefer a bigger blade.Gives me a reach advantage as well.

Sometimes, I'll take my Beretta Tomcat in .32 ACP Only a 7 round mag, but I also carry a spare mag and one in the pipe. I'm just worried about getting searched here in Calif and losing my little Tommy.

BTW, both knives are legal in most of California. I'll post a link at the end of what's legal and where. The 4" is a Cold Steel Voyager Vaquero. The 6" is a Cold Steel Voyager Grande in VG-1 which was made only in 2007 and in 2008 and it still push cuts newsprint. Very intimidating knife that will leave a very nasty wound channel that will never stop bleeding. Same with the 4" Serrated. I've seen plain edged knives slide off of leather jackets before while a serrated edge will shred leather and the flesh underneath.

The 6" Grande is very, very hard to find, especially in VG-1 Steel. It's the one on the bottom of the pic:

And the Dems insist we don't need magazines with a capacity above 10 rounds. What do we do when faced with multiple adversaries, in the dark when the first shot will temporarily deafen and night blind you? Wait until your senses return?

These people are so stupid it hurts just thinking about them. I would like to put them in a simulated self-defense situation with just 7 rounds. There hands would shake so much they would drop their weapon. Or try to reason with their adversary/adversaries.

Unfortunately, here in Marin County, just North of San Francisco, the Dems have insisted on making available low-cost, Section 8 Housing and the Latin gangs are becoming a huge problem.

I had a run-in with some teen-aged wannabe's a few years back and ran into 4 of them returning from a short walk to the corner 7-11 when they began the "interview process" (Google "The 5 stages of an Assault")I dropped my bag of goodies from the store which temporarily distracted them (no breakables inside)and I grabbed "the leader" by his shirt, inertia deployed 6" of VG-1 steel and put it under his chin and told his "amigos" to "vámonos"

Of course, when they were nearly a block away, they were yelling that I won't be so lucky next time. I yelled back that I would be carrying something more lethal than a knife the next time.

When I let their "leader" go, I gave him such a hard kick in the ass that he fell in the bushes and when he tried to get up, he fell in them again. I broke out laughing so hard that I couldn't respond to his empty threats.

Needless to say, this Country seems to be circling the drain and when I soon reach retirement age, I'm outta here.

I don't need this and I don't need some feral animal(s) ending my life over something stupid like a gang-initiation.

It's not going to turn around in my lifetime, so I might as well enjoy my final years living in paradise at a fraction of the cost in a low-crime country and without worry of these feral, crack-babies that have grown into psychopaths.

Link for US knife laws by State, County and City:

US knife laws I have my PC memorized in case I get harassed by Officer Friendly as I don't want my somewhat rare 6" Grande being confiscated.

Now if I'm carrying my TomCat, it's going in the bushes if possible.

I'm pinging a Kentuckian, cuban leaf, to answer that.
