You said it. Most Indians have no problem with the name. Albeit a misnomer, it’s historical and not derogatory.

Just wonder how much longer until they start suggesting changing the name “Washington”, after all, he’s just another dead white guy.

In this instance I was referring to the name Indians versus the unnecessary Native Americans.

The attack on traditional racial names & nicknames does not arise with the racial groups that the "politically correct" pretend to be protecting. These attacks originate with Leftist oriented White pseudo-intellectual neurotics, desperate to prove the fantasy of human "oneness," based upon the totally false premises of human interchangeability & human plasticity. (All social engineering supporters assume that the human personality is more plastic than it really is--hence the notion that Government can reengineer people, by forcefully remaking their social environment. This is the common premise of Communists, Nazis, Social Democrats & America's faux "Liberals.")

We make a mistake by continuing to let intolerant crackpots, seeking to remake other people's societies via monolithic political power plays, pose as "liberal." True liberals are much closer to Conservatives in this fight, than to the neurotic crack-pots.

Of course, ever ready to exploit the insanity, are the demagogues & scoundrels, who feast on stirring up hate in the names of "brotherhood," "fairness," "equality" and "social justice."
