We have no US Government space program. We have private efforts however.
If you have the bucks, you can buy a space to live in orbit from a contractor.

Sorry, but that's not a problem. I supported NASA from Day 1 right through the early 1980s.
But after 10 years of the shuttle program we the people got nothing in return.
And for the next 20 years we got the same results - nothing ... except for 14 dead astronauts.
