“I bear no ill will for the volunteers because this was caused completely by nation directors who turned a blind eye to the will of the members.”
It was caused by activists who want to destroy America and the Boy Scouts is one of those areas they decided was necessary.
The directors did the same thing most conservatives are doing, they did the best they could against fierce and evil opponents. When faced with loss of all funds and access to facilities the war was lost.
If we hope to turn the tide we MUST get more active.
No. They caved. If they were that beholden to corporate money, make it smaller. Don’t borrow $400,000,000 to build a camp. Listen to the membership, 70% of whom were against the change.
Fire employees who we’re agitating for the change. I know a guy who was on a council board. He was told to shut up and was removed because he was against the change.
Those in favor of traditional morality are tied up and gagged. When that happens, it’s time to go.
Yeah, we got to view it through their blessed minds and count ourselves thankful. Don’t fret ourselves with the facts.
Lively and LaBarbera are much more in touch with these issues than you are, by the nature of their work fighting them. They very well know the facts better than you or me.
I think the battle was lost long ago when people of dubious morals were allowed to become involved. The same thing has happened in numerous churches.

The title was obviously an attention-getter, and was quickly explained in the opening sentences of the piece.

The fact these stone throwers can’t come up with the quote and context tells me a Lot. A whole lot. I’m pretty much disregarding the whole thing. Gimme an order of nuggets with barbecue sauce.
Every leader goes through different phases of maturity, growth and development and it helps by (recognizing) the mistakes that you make, Cathy said. And you learn from those mistakes. If not, youre just a fool. Im thankful that I lived through it and I learned a lot from it.”
I think the time of truths and principles are captured and codified in Gods word and Im just personally committed to that, he said. I know others feel very different from that and I respect their opinion and I hope that they would be respectful of mine.
Consumers want to do business with brands that they can interface with, that they can relate with, Cathy said. And its probably very wise from our standpoint to make sure that we present our brand in a compelling way that the consumer can relate to.
I think thats a political debate thats going to rage on and the wiser thing for us to do is to stay focused on customer service.

There’s a story in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, but it’s behind a paywall.
