The nature of the populace has changed in the last 240 years. When Francis Smith marched on Lexington and Concord, he was met initially with about fewer than 100 militia whose ranks later swelled at an estimated of several thousand as the British marched back to Boston. The men were willing to rish their lives to fight tyranny. This in a time wih no internet, no phones, and a total colonial population in MA of fewer than 300,000
20 years ago our group held a progun rally on a Saturday morning on the steps of the capital in Atlanta (metro area population about 2.7 million). The only rish was to the attendees Saturday morning plans. We called 3500 and got about 400 commitments, advertised on radio and the newspaper (NOT the Atlanta Urinal Constipation) 143 showed up. This in ga which is not known for being a liberal cess pit.
Zero is the epitome of it.
You’re right. Zero, like all tyrants, will go as far as he’s allowed.
Dear State of Connecticut,
No. Your move.

If it hasn’t dawned on the gun prohibitionists yet, it’s beginning to. This isn’t going to be a “let’s you and he fight” affair with themselves watching the bodies flying from the sidelines. If you direct state force against your political opponents you become the enemy. Personally.
Well worth the read for any who have not yet seen it. Any many pertinent comments, most favorable, but one real whacko I'll quote here:
William Urmson said... The NRA is the biggest domestic terrorist group in the United States, maybe the world. They love their guns more than people. With politicians in their pockets all we can do is brace ourselves for the next NRA sponsored slaughter. The policies and laws created by The NRA killed the kids in Newtown and allowed the vigilante George Zimmerman to murder Trayvon Martin.
Back ground checks, that the NRA strongly oppose, would help keep guns out of the hands of unstable people preventing many deaths.
STAND YOUR GROUND is nothing more than a license to legally hunt and kill innocent people PERIOD~ http://youtu.be/OqZqGql9ml4 February 25, 2014 at 7:36 PM
Anyone know Mr. Urmson? Put him on your SHTF list, so he can't sneak up on you or out you to the progressive oppressors.
They should be at the top of that list already, as they will be the ones GIVNG THE ORDERS.
How do you protect your home with weapons stored in another state?
I don’t see American gun owners, as a whole, turning in their weapons without a real fight. In the South and West, I really think that you will have significant resistance, and don’t expect law enforcement to be very helpful.
This cop swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. I will not follow an unlawful order. Nor will the vast majority of cops that I know. I’ve read a couple of posts on this thread where keyboard commandos suggest that “all cops should be targeted”. I sure hope that it’s warm in their mother’s basement as they type such crap.
Thank you, thank you, and thank you again for your response. You Sir are a breath of fresh air and I only wish there were more like you.
Well, that is the problem and we shouldn’t have to...

There is a profound truthfulness to what you have written..
Just like the nyc cops didn't follow the "unlawful" orders to confiscate the semiautos in NYC during the Dinkins ban? (If you've forgotten your history, no cop failed to "follow orders" in kicking in doors and arresting people who still had their weapons in NYC, but I'm sure you're different.)
It all hinges on what you consider an "unlawful order." I notice you didn't say anything about enforcing an "unconstitutional law"
...and I suggest this is the point where it is important that the other dumb bastard die for his country, and that you live for liberty.
The rash of unfortunate canoeing accidents is just terrible.
