Nato's military commander in Europe has issued a warning about the build-up of Russian forces on Ukraine's border.
Supreme Allied Commander Europe Gen Philip Breedlove said Nato was in particular concerned about the threat to Moldova's Trans-Dniester region.
Russia said its forces complied with international agreements.
The build-up has been allied with Russia's annexation of Crimea from Ukraine, following the removal of Ukraine's pro-Moscow president.
Moscow formally annexed Crimea after the predominantly ethic-Russian region held a referendum which backed joining the Russian Federation.

He'll stop in the clubhouse and make a sternly worded speech before teeing off on the 10th hole for sure.
And the Putin fanbois chime in in 3...2...1...
They’re like Pavlov’s dog. Ring the bell and they’re ready to fawn or fight for their beloved Putin.
So true. Perfect storm of weakness and stupidity in Obama and Russian chauvinism, cunning, and cruel nationalism leading a much more dangerous world. And then, we don’t talk about it much, we have Putin providing nuclear weapon capability to the Iranians. For some reason, his fans don’t seem to mind that either.
NATO and Europe are determined to get the US into amother World War.
NATO lost all moral credibility when they stole Kosovo from Serbia and gave it to Muslim terrorists.
Actually, Russia may be overextending. They have a number of issues now. They’re probably engaged in fighting in Syria and if not still need to maintain troops there. They’ve just “finished” a war in Chechnya, but that kind of war is always smoldering and just waiting a breath of air to reignite. Their entire southern region is a potential storm waiting to happen. They have been fighting a clandestine operation inside Turkey because Turkey has been aiding the Chechnya Muslims. China is always a constant threat on their thinly populated eastern border.
Russia apparently has all 150,000 European based ground troops invested in or near the Ukraine. By changing the ground game they may have left a few rat holes unguarded.
"Amen, bro."
Maybe that great fighting force, Belgium, can take the lead, here. Or, Luxemburg. They joined NATO, right? I mean, they did, right? How about bring in an outside powerhouse, Monaco?
Who’s he warning??? Doesn’t seem to be warning Russia...
He’s the NATO commander...If he was concerned, he could put assets across the border from the Russian troops to prevent an attack...
“NATO lost all moral credibility when they stole Kosovo from Serbia and gave it to Muslim terrorists.”
NATO never should have been involved in the Balkans Square Dance. It was a terrible decision, with terrible consequences.
Is Ukraine a NATO member? No.
Does Ukraine want to be a NATO member? No. They dropped that goal in about 2010.
How interested in Ukraine should NATO be? Not at all.
NATO is a trouble-maker.
Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada parliament voted 226 to 224 not to be in NATO in 2010.
Given the turn of events I don't think it would be too hard to see a two vote swing to the pro NATO side.
Ukraine voted. They said No.
Now Russia is mobilizing -- I say it's too late for Ukraine to swing to the pro NATO side.
I want names.
NATO bombing and L’Affaire Lewinsky were back to back.
That is good one Bender ROFL
