Maybe it was a slow news day for the “Business Insider” magazine. I’m not so sure Grimes was the one who initiated this story. And, yes, many media outlets have been running stories for weeks on how vulnerable the Dems are this year and that they will probably lose the Senate. Read two a short while ago.

Well, I’m not writing off Grimes just yet. Polls, that were posted here on this website, indicate that Grimes would defeat McConnell but, she would lose to Bevin. And, if Grimes does defeat McConnell in the General Election, it will NOT be a tragedy. I predict we will take 9 Senate seats from the Dems. (AK, AR, CO, LA, MI, MT, NC, SD and WV.) We won’t need Mitch’s seat. And the best part, there will be an election for the Senate majority Leader, and Mitch won’t be there, so there will be NO heir apparent. And Cornyn is not a shoo-in. So, with the power-hungry egos those guys have, I guarantee you, there will be race for the SML post.

Going to bed. Goodnight.

Yes, I’ve seen those - but I just mean writing a news story based on a memo being released by a campaign adviser and just running with the narrative 100%.

Are you willing to sacrifice a Senate seat for six years so that the Rino caucus can elect a new Rino leader?
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Well, Kennard, you have the dubious honor of being the first person, in my life, to ever get a “yes” answer from me for that question. I never dreamed that I would answer that question in the affirmative. But, I so loathe Mitch McConnell, I have to answer “YES” to that question. As a “Refresher” Course: Plz read my Post #62 on this Thread.

Going to bed. Goodnight.

McConnell and the National GOP are irrelevant to the support Bevin will receive from Kentucky voters in November if he wins the primary. Kentucky voters will not follow orders in November from the National GOP. But Bevin’s Kentucky supporters will sit it out in November if McConnell wins the primary.

If Bevin wins the primary, he wins in November.

If McConnell wins the primary, he loses in November.

Reports are that Cruz refuses to endorse McConnell. A group close to Cruz has endorsed Bevin.

You are probably thinking Cruz endorsed Cornyn but he first refused to endorse Cornyn and only endorsed him AFTER Cornyn won the primary.

Or you are thinking that Rand Paul endorsed McConnell. Paul did this in order to keep the funding door open for his presidential bid in 2016.

Cruz stays away from national endorsements but does endorse local TX candidates for state elections. Within TX Cruz has a perfect record of endorsements for Tea Party candidates in statewide offices. This was not reported in the national news, that the Tea Party is wiping the floor with the GOPe in statewide elections.

You are correct. I am wrong. I guess it made me cry so much that Paul endorsed Mitch that it confused me.

Bevin or any Conservative could win the Primary against a RINO if in the last 2-3 weeks of the election, he started running radio ads and mailers stating he supports the 2nd Amendment and wants to stop government funding of Illegal aliens. Maybe add some pro Christian info, also. The campaign would have to be late in the game so the media can’t come after him as a crazy gun-slinging racist. In each ad, he would have to ask people who agree with him to bring their friends to the polls.

McConnell is a symptom, not the problem.

McConnell is a 'symptom' of the MarxoFascist coup?? While he is a member of the Ruling Class - I don't think he's a symptom of this dictatorship being erected - he is simply going along with it.

He's a Judenrat for those who have taken over and he said LAST WEEK TO THE NYT - that they were going to "CRUSH CONSERVATIVES wherever they find them".

So he's WORSE THAN a RINO, and yes, he IS a problem. He went along with the coup rather than stand against it and fulfill his oath of office.

Are you willing to sacrifice a Senate seat for six years so that the Rino caucus can elect a new Rino leader?

What planet are you on? McConnell IS the RINO caucus! The Ruling Class will decide who sits in that seat - not we the voters.

We are reduced to an idle threat to stay home.

Why the hell should we continue to practice insanity by voting RINOs after they destroy Conservatives in primaries? They gave rise to this coup we suffered. Nationally-impacted elections are moot anyway. Cook County went national and we went Soviet back in 2008. See reality and put your Normalcy Bias in remission.

If McConnell wins the primary, he loses in November.

I'm pretty sure that is the plan. Which is why McConnell's year-long war on Bevin is only accelerating and growing more vicious and personal. McConnell has nothing to say against Grimes, and touts a BS record that he alone 'stopped Obama's radical agenda'. His new ad says Obama loves Bevin because Bevin is daring to run against McConnell, which the ad says - Mc Connell is the ONLY ONE IN WASHINGTON standing up to Obama's agenda".

The coup leadership and the Ruling Class are working together to make sure Conservatives are made irrelevant, even if everything goes to the Democrat MarxoFascists.

The desired end-result is the same.

“...as been said before,”He’s toast” and that’s just one of his grave problems, it’s a low turnout
election. He can’t/won’t appeal to the Conservative voters, he’s told them to go to HELL.”

To add pathetic icing to the sad cake (really stretched for that metaphor, didn’t I?) Ann Coulter defended this loser as a true conservative.

Whisky. Tango. Foxtrox.

Regardless of the issues with McConnell, we really do not want Grimes taking power for reasons beyond the U.S. Senate majority. Grimes is from the old Dem establishment of Kentucky (she is Alison LUNDERGAN Grimes) that we do not want being able to retake hold here in the Commonwealth, let alone get a national stage. That would be devastating. Grimes ousted the sitting Secretary of State in her primary who had been appointed by Governor Beshear and Beshear actively supported the incumbent but failed to keep her in office (Dem factions fighting it out).

McConnell definitely has a machine, but it pretty much goes with him...once he leaves office, that’ll pretty much be it for it. That old establishment already has too much power again in just having the SOS office and the Speakership in the State House. Getting a U.S. Senate seat would really get them going again. There is much more at stake here than meets the eye internally for the Commonwealth. Grimes is disguising herself as someone fresh and new - when she is really part of the old Dem establishment.
