VIDEO: Civilian Called Out For Wearing Ranger Uniform Offers Explanation

Id serve today, said the man, Joseph Scott. One phone call and Id be gone.
It sounds as if the man meant no disrespect. However, more responsible voices, including the recruiter who told Scott where to buy the uniform gear, should have informed him about wearing the uniform in public. And while one can certainly sympathize with Scott, it in no way suggests any wrongdoing on the part of the soldiers who called him out in the now-viral video of the confrontation. That uniform must be earned. Not everyone can make it. And as sad as it may make some civilians, not everyone is even going to have the chance to try.

The confrontation of two weeks ago was caught on camera and went viral just this week. The local TV station interviews the kid in question. (video at the link).
Maybe there will be a part III to the incident in coming day.s

The boy is obviously not too bright. His relatives should have set him straight before things went this far. Some people are just not cut out for the military.

You ‘re right, of course, but I’m also disturbed that a military recruiter would encourage him to wear a uniform - according to the article.

I did read the whole story and its not in the story.
You have to watch the video clip to see that he suffers from PTSD from an incident when he was three (yeah, right) and he can’t pass the ASVAB (walking carrot).

Finding good mercenary work isn’t as easy as it seems, there are a lot of questionable operators and operations out there, and a boy too stupid for the military wouldn’t do well in choosing work, nor in executing it.
