NEW YORK, March 19, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The largest American Catholic civil rights organization is taking on the largest brewer of stout beer in the world.

The Catholic League’s Bill Donohue has called for a boycott of Guinness after the beer company pulled its sponsorship of New York’s St. Patrick’s Day parade because organizers barred homosexual activists from marching.

Guinness is owned by British liquor giant Diageo.

Its the bloody Brits behind this -- Guinness is owned by a British company.

Maybe being anti-Catholic comes natural to them...

"because organizers barred homosexual activists from marching. "

What was banned was homo banners. Cardinal Dolan said homosexuals told him they were marching. They were not banned.

Its not about being anti catholic in particular, its about being politically correct and pandering to the grievance group of the moment. Anti Catholicism is just an added bonus for them

Have the parade without sponsors. That means without permits but permits for all things is idiocy anyway.

Yes, it was banners supporting homosexual marriage if I recall correctly. The organizers merely asked that marchers please use the day and the event to celebrate Irish heritage and Saint Patrick’s day, and NOT to use the platform for political campaigning over divisive moral and social issues.

The media is engaged in a 24/7 misinformation campaign. They need propaganda to support their culture war, so if there are no bigots, racists, or “homophobes” the media will happily manufacture them.

Case in point, the years of propaganda and lies we’ve been fed about the Mathew Shepard case - because getting tortured and murdered by your former gay lover over your methamphetamine dealing is somehow a vicious hatecrime by homophobic Wyoming residents.

I can boycott Sam Adams and Heineken, because I have been a customer of theirs. Never been a Guinness buyer, so I will CONTINUE not to buy. :-P

Oh, don’t get me wrong, I agree. It’s just that it’s getting hard to keep everything straight.

I won’t knowingly purchase products from companies I know to be undermining my beliefs.

Boston Brewing crossed Christians, and they have suffered. Most bars I’ve been to simply do no sell their beer.

Next time I’m at the bar, I ask for a dark ale “not the fag one”.

Between Diageo, Inbev, and Heineken international you’d be hardpressed to find a commercial alcoholic offering that didn’t come from a European mega-corporation.

Take this as an opportunity to support your local breweries, wineries, and distilleries (as well as the odd meadery here and there). That way you’re funneling your dollars to fellow Americans, supporting your neighbors, and getting to partake of unique and fresh beverages that you’ll never see peddled by a euroweenie megacorp.

Also, you could take up homebrewing as a hobby. As far as wine, beer, and other fermented beverages go it is lawful in the U.S. (now legal in all 50 states) to brew small amounts (100 gallons per year for individuals, 200 for households if I recall) for personal consumption. Distillation is still illegal without a license, be warned.

You don’t have to boycott their entire line, just the brands they have associated with liberal/fag propaganda. It’s not just the corporation that makes every decision, it’s the divisions within the corporation. If they notice their “conservative” brands are selling better than their “liberal” brands...

Not so fast there! Diageo owns 34% of Moët Hennessy, the makers of Hennessey’s.

Actually I have thought about that very thing. I have friends who homebrew and I’ve always found it interesting.

I don’t think Flagg Brand Beer would be terribly popular though :)

Then it’s off, too. Dang, why didn’t it make the list? Anyhow, I’ve printed out what appears on their website and will be consulting it before any ABC purchases.
