After “retiring” from mornings at Clear Channel’s 710 WOR New York in December, John Gambling is joining Salem Conservative Talk “970 The Answer” WNYM.
Gambling will be heard daily from 11am to 1pm with a show that will alternate from WNYM’s Broadway studios that used to house WOR or Gambling’s home in Florida.
WNYM recently added comedian Joe Piscopo to its morning show from 6-9am after the departure of Curtis Sliwa to WABC.

Gambling is a great morning drive host. They should get rid of Piscapo.
AM radio isn’t what it used to be, but the Gambling name may help the Salem station. WOR took a hit in its audience share when he left.
Salem is getting interesting.
Big presence now in Denver. As the man says, “the fish is eating the whale.”

To put it mildly!
Love Salem, esp. Prager and Hewitt. Too bad their Seattle stations little signal is too weak to reach downtown Everett.
Unfortunately the commercials Salem leave a lot to be desired, but I guess it’s no worse than than Kars 4 Kids, Carnivora, various impotence remedies, etc.
