A President with an 84% approval rating. If an election in Russia was held today, President Putin would win re-election in a landslide.
Obummer has only a 43% approval rating here.

What was that Osama Bin said about people naturally gravitating to The Strong Horse? There is some truth in that, even though strength is not always in indicator of wisdom, or even fairness.

Of course a leader who "repatriates" land that was "stolen" from his country is going to be wildly popular.
What were the Chancellor's poll numbers like when he retook Alsace?
Pretty high, I'd bet.

60% of Russians would vote for Putin if they were truly allowed to vote.

Adolf Hitler was extremely popular too - why don’t you praise him as your “conservative” hero?

That’s because Russia is full of serfs, and Americans have had their fill of the clown in the White House.

People gravitate to a strong leader who stands up for his country. That’s what Putin is doing.

You should understand that polling and voting under United Russia is a big joke.
No one believes it’s even mildly honest. The outcome is pre-determined.
That said, he’s undoubtedly popular for doing this. Have heard many Russians tell me “we’re gonna get the land back”.
The question is...going back how far?
Do they think the border ends in Budapest or Berlin?

Which would you rather have, thug Putin kicking sand in our face, or our president Owormtongue stabbing us in the back? Fortunately you don’t have to choose as you get to have both for only a modest fee (tax).
