That is correct. Cornyn only got 59.44% of the vote with the remainder split
amongst seven hopefuls with one getting 19.33% and another 10.71%.

Do you think Cornyn and the GOPe give a rat’s ass about whether they got 60% or not?? HELL NO!

All they needed was 50% plus 1, and they GOT it. Now, Cornyn is safe for another SIX YEARS!

I’m sick of people sugar-coating that loss. That was TEXAS! Losing that seat to a RINO was crushing.

It exposes our problem: Good people don’t want to run.

I watched the senatorial primary in TX pretty closely, and two things happened. (1) Not one strong candidate among them, and (2) None gelled around one as the election approached. With these facts, Corny getting only 59% should have sent a pretty clear message.
