Repost I just posted this in a different thread.

Governor

Rauner (RINO) squeaks out a win over Dillard (RINO). 40-37 with 97% in. Rauner’s running mate Evelyn Sanguinetti is speaking Spanish on stage and has a really of-putting manner.

The local news is reporting (if I understand them correctly) that democrats crossed over for Dillard, didn’t happen in my heavily rat Chi precinct, turnout was 1%. There were no major rat primaries, Quinn crushed a weak challenger.

Senate

Oberdouche beats Truax 56-44. Fail. 30 point loss in November likely for this perennial loser.

Tim Cross (RINO) wins the primary for Treasurer over Bob Grogan 57-43. Fail

CD 8, the erratic campaign of Pete Sessions’ recruited Manju Goel ended in massive defeat by more than 2-1 to underfunded primary challenger Larry Kaifesh. Cook/Rasmussen/Sabato all rate the seat as safe rat due to the weakness of the GOP challengers. Goel clearly would have had no chance. Kaifesh needs money to compete in November.

CD 9, Safe rat seat but it there is close GOP primary here, Susane Atanus, who says autism is God’s punishment for homosexuality, leads a Ron Paulbot by 52-48 with 93% in.

CD 11 State Rep. Darlene Senger beats Chris Balkema and Bert Miller in a fairly close 3-way race. Senger should be semi-competitive in November

CD 13 Davis beats Harold 54-41. Sigh.

CD 16, Adam Kingzinger crushes Rockford Tea-Party leader David Hale. Hale was a weak challenger and Rockford is only partially in the district.

IL House District 81. Gay marriage supporting incumbent Ron Sanduck leads conservative Keith Matune by 30 votes with 93% in.

Sounds like the low-turnout TX results two weeks ago were far, far more encouraging than what the IL uninformed can come up with. And that’s with Cornball’s landslide.

With the exception of Massachusetts, Illinois may be the most premier example of a state in need of a second party. One Combiner RINO puppet vs. a Combiner Democrat is not a choice, it’s a visceral disgrace to a free republic.

It’s Illinois... RINO is as good as it gets. A conservative will not win a statewide contest there.

“Sharon Brannigan celebrated a more than two-to-one margin of victory over Diane Harris as the Republican nominee to challenge Daniel Lipinski in the U.S. 3rd Congressional District.”

http://lagrange.suntimes.com/news/congress3rd-LAG-03182014:article

At least there is one race where the 2 candidates oppose amnesty. Brannigan is a true reformer according to NumbersUSA. When Lipinski voted against the Dream Act there was talk of him getting a Latino primary challenger.

http://www.wbez.org/blog/achy-obejas/dream-act-how-they-voted
“I’ll put money that Lipinski gets a Latino challenger in two years, and that he’ll have a race on his hands.”

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2014/03/17/gutierrez-ethics-scofield-legal-fees/6524913/

“WASHINGTON — Rep. Luis Gutiérrez, D-Ill., has spent nearly $30,000 in legal fees since last summer, hiring a lawyer who specializes in ethics and congressional investigations after USA TODAY reported the congressman had kept a Chicago lobbyist working in his congressional office for years.”

The Senger race seems like an okay outcome. The Tea Party candidate Balkema is close enough to challenge her again if she votes like a RINO assuming she wins. I wonder if any of these candidates are going to be smart and go after the open borders agenda of the Dems. Foster and Durbin are big amnesty supporters working in the interests of the Mexican government. How can a RINO outpander them?
