During a March 13 town hall meeting at John Barry Elementary School in Meriden, Connecticut, Governor Dannel P. Malloy (D) told a gun owner that gun control proponents won and you lost.
Malloy made this statement in response to questions about the constitutionality of the gun laws he signed into law in 2013.

My take Gov. Malloy is this: The judge DIDN'T rule on it because he sees' a s**t storm coming down the pike and merely shrugged you off with a few words just to passify you. No Gov. (a title you DO NOT deserve) Malloy, I believe you lost and the gun owners won. I don't cotton to arrogant people Gov. Malloy and I don't think that the residents of CT. will take it lightly either. What I do believe Gov. Malloy is that you have a problem on your hands. I darn sure wouldn't want to be in your "Buster Browns". Rots a Ruck !!!!
Ride the shark governor?
The Constitution bats last.
Or it used to.
Hey Guv!
We didn’t “lose” anything!
The Second Amendment STILL applies!
Your mindless “rules” are clearly having NO EFFECT on either COMPLIANCE OR ENFORCEMENT!!!
If a deranged mentally ill young adult ran down 27 pedestrians downtown, killing them, would all those who own cars be blamed?
“You lost.” Straight outta Skippy’s playbook. Straight from the fires of hell, where Uncle Saul lives.
I like that. No governor or any other elected official can take away our natural right to self-defense. SHALL NOT be infringed.

b : one resembling an oppressive ruler in the harsh use of authority or power
We “lost” at Pearl Harbor, too.
Time to put recall laws in place ... in every state.
Republics devolve to democracy, then to tyranny.
It has always been the case, no?
This governor sounds like a true member of the Democratic party.
Malloy has always been a arrogant jerk. He only “won” thanks to vote Bridgeport, where they “accidentally” ran out of ballots and extended voting several more hours.
Where 90% refuse to comply, and even non-gun owners agree the law was stupid and will not have any effect on crime, YOU have the problem Gov. I don’t recall him ever having a majority of support on this issue. I believe he is just doing it to make Obama like him for a possible Fed job come Nov.
Sounds like the gun owners of Connecticut need to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights.
This should get interesting. With the stroke of a pen they made between 25,000 and 350,000 class D felons. That is the number estimated to have not complied. These people have done nothing wrong, they broke no law. And yet, it is a mandatory 1 year jail sentence.
This was done in CA around 1998 with SKS. With to stroke of a pen, they determined all SKS had to be registered. Only a few did so. The governor sayed that even though the law was passed, they would not enforce it, yet.
But it seems the people in CT are not willing to sit on it, but are more active towards pushing it.
We shall see.
He has always acted like a dictator. When we had several bad storms hit CT and knock out power, in some cases 100% of most of the towns north of I84, within 48 hours he was throwing the POCO under the bus for not magically fixing everyones power. I suspect he wants a FedGov job with Obama, hence his dictator like actions.
For future reference, so that it looks like you occasionally have picked up a book, the past tense of “to say” is “SAID” not “sayed.” Please stop giving our enemies ammo to say we are “stupid and illiterate.” Try turning on spell check. When you see a wavy red line under a word, 9 out of 10 times it means you have screwed up.
