To the Editor:
The movie Gasland 2 about fracking is available at the Cheltenham Library. I urge everyone to get on the list to borrow it and host a movie night at home with friends or neighbors. The information about fracking is important and will take all of our voices if we are to be heard over the mega-millions that the gas brings to the oil companies and monied interests.
The Keystone XL pipeline is also something that Americans need to understand more about. China and other nations vying for the exportable resources, and who are already invested in these, will ensure that Americans continue to pay the highest prices, while also bearing the high cost of the exploitation of our natural resources.
Please contact your legislators and let them know that these measures are not in our interests.

I’m certain that “Gasland 2” is an appropriately named film.
People should get informed about fracking and the importance of cheap domestic energy to our economy. However, Gasland 2 is one of the worst means of getting any true information about horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing. Not that one would expect Hollywood to make a movie that goes against the environmental hysteria about sticking it to mother earth. Try watching that movie without using electricity and you’ll get a better idea of why we need to develop safe effiecnt sources of energy.
“Gasland and Gasland 2” aren’t those critics reviews of Mexican restaurants?
> Get informed about fracking
and once informed, realize that fears are hugely overblown.
Oh...I agree.
EVERYONE must go see the cinematic effort called “Gasland 2” and understand that “fracturing” is contributing to massive earthquakes in the crust, extreme water-level changes in the several seas and have caused the destruction of entire coastal villages. They have caused the expanse of longer growing seasons in the tropical zones that allow more nutrition to be delivered to the starving third-world conutries.
Additionally, such manmade catastrophe’s have supported the advancement of governemt control throughout the world that has benefitted the poor and hungry by giving them bare sustenance for survivial while propping-up tyrannical regimes with funding and weapons that keep the people subject to their demands.
The writer forgot to mention that you should be kind and rewind the movie before returning it to the library.
“Gasland 2” is a poor attempt to “China Syndrome” the oil field and further wreck our economy.
How much did the Saudis put up for “Gasbag 2”?
Pegged it. Some idiot professor at Virginia Tech is now saying that tracking causes earthquakes:

Meh.

Get MISinformed about fracking is more like it.
It would be better to become informed by reading some NON-fiction about it instead of watching an agenda driven film looking at fracking from a Socialist Totalitarian P.O.V.
“Fire! Oh no! Fire comin’ outta the durn faucet!”
“Them doggone evil durn corporations are a-doin’ this to we’uns”
“I hates progress and big oil and horseless carriages!”
“Panic! Everybody panic! The only thing that can save us now is to give all our freedom and money to the government!”
My guess is the only energy movie that is more fictional is “Inconvenient ‘truth’”
“A list of YouTube videos on Fracking. Pro and Con
Well put. Everyone should be “Pro” fracking and Gasbag 2 is a “Con”
