Two teenage nurses laughed and filmed themselves as they beat a 98-year-old nursing home resident in St. Charles, Illinois.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Chemyra Barnett and Jacqueline Santos both 18-years old struck an elderly woman with dementia, took video of the attack, and shared the video with friends.
Both were charged "with one count of aggravated battery of a person older than 60... and one count of illegal video taping." They were released on a bond of $15,000 each.
Barnett and Santos are scheduled to appear in court March 27.
According to the Daily Mail, the two attackers have "been banned from having a cell phone or sharing the video."

The problem is that we are putting unskilled, untrained teenagers in charge of caring for elderly dementia patients. You get what you pay for, and that is not a job you can expect somebody to do at the Minimum Wage. If you do, incidents like this are inevitable.
As Obamacare relentlessly drives down healthcare expenditures, in order to make more money available to feed the Bureaucratic Beast, we can expect to see a lot more of this kind of thing.

I absolutely agree.

The death panels are to prevent this care from being needed in an increasing number of cases.
Horrible reporting, or the new definition of ‘nurse’! Which I resent immensely after a lifetime career as a ‘nurse’.
This institution is probably corrupt from top of management on down, and taking the ‘government’ dollar in every way it can.

I agree; imagine being at the mercy of these beasts. While a noble goal of welfare reform, forcing unemployable people into low-paying jobs was bound to have some consequences.
At least with Death Panels, it will be quick and merciful... At first...
Welcome to Obamacare.
They want to degrade Doctors, to make the degree program BS plus One Year.
Even so, more and more work is to be taken up by Physician's Assistants.
And the definition of Nurse is being defined down to the very lowest level.
All to save a couple of bucks, so more and more can be shoveled into the maw of the Bureaucracy.
Because it's not like they're really people, when you think about it. I don't know what word to use, but they are kind of like under-people...
Probably sounds better in the original German...

It’s not just to save money. It’s partially because liberal government is filled with those who think they are the smartest people on the planet. Bringing everyone else down a notch accentuates the catbird seat upon which they think they sit. If you aren’t in the politburo, or a sycophant of the politburo, you are just one of the masses.

It already is, and probably will remain so (like “Soylent Green”) - it will be sold as something positive.
Lock them up together inside a four-foot cell, no contact w/family or other prisoners. No phones. Feed them Happy Meals 3x day and eventually they’ll kill each other.
Feminism, fatherlessness, blamelessness, no punishment in schools and entitlement has produced such nice young American ladies.
These two should be candidates for the Soylent Petfood factory.
