MURRAY, Ky. (AP) - Texas Gov. Rick Perry threw his support behind U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell on Saturday, telling 300 fellow Republicans that the minority leader will win re-election.
McConnell finds himself in a GOP primary fight with wealthy businessman Matt Bevin, who attended the event but wasnt allowed to speak.
I love the number six, Perry told the crowd at the Lincoln Reagan Dinner of West Kentucky. Sam Houston was 6 foot 6 inches tall. And Mitch McConnell is going to be in his sixth term as United States senator.
Organizers said the dinner was supposed to unite the Kentucky GOP behind one mission: taking control of the Kentucky House of Representatives in November. But speakers talked just as much about taking control of the U.S. Senate so McConnell could become majority leader.
The future of America is inextricably intertwined with Kentucky and how these elections come out this time, Perry told the crowd.

Ricky is a rank opportunist. A Carterite and then a Gorebot and then a Bushian. He never was a Conservative.

“People need to settle down a bit. Perry is a conservative “
I sure would like you to spell out your definition of conservative.
Rick Perry is a RINO, has been since taking over from Bush a Gov. of Texas.

Governor Perry has forgotten the one thing that Tea Partiers have in common with the GOP Elephant.
L-O-N-G MEMORIES.

I hope the KY electorate will choose Bevin in primary and general.
If I were from KY I’d be voting Bevin, not McConnell.
But,
“Voting for RINOs is the same as voting for any other Tyrant.”
Is not true and is n fact a lie to keep Dems in power.
It is an empty liberal viewpoint and worldview wherein the world is expected to be perfect or else it is all horrible.

I'm a Texan who has put up with Rick Perry in politics for 2.5 decades. I warned people when he was running for the GOP nomination for Prez in 2012: Rick Perry is an empty suit and not the brightest light in the harbor. He is a career politician who is part of the "Good ol' boy" network and his wife is a ditz."

Rand Paul and now Perry; endorsing McConnell. There's an explanation for that. McConnell has pictures of Paul and Perry "sixty-nining" oral sex on each other.

I live in KY. Ill vote for the Dem before Ill vote for McConnel. Dead serious. Anyone who would vote for a Democrat from Kentucky for Senate this year is a Democrat, RINO, or simply not a conservative. He is voting for President Obama/Senate Majority Reid, and the rest of the Democrat platform.

That’s certainly one way to look at it. It’s not about the democrat. It’s about McConnel. I don’t want him representing me. Period. No six termers!

Guess there is one more 2016 presidential candidate on the short list that won't have my vote. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I'm in total agreement with you. But, remember folks: Rand Paul endorsed McConnell also and is working hard to see him win his Primary. So, what's good for Perry is good for Paul. So, say "NO" to both in 2016.

I can understand that line of thinking. I think Perry and many others in the republican elite are thinking if we dont get the senate back this year we are totally screwed.
That line of thinking is why we are in the mess we're in now and the GOP has been taken over by RINOs. Let me help you, and Ricky boy out. We will take at least 9 seats from the Dems in the Senate Races this year. We don't need to become political whores like Rick Perry and Rand Paul. Besides, Matt Bevin, the TRUE Conservative in KY, will win the General Election and polls show that McConnell will not.
