Progs start to realize the disaster ahead, but still are in denial
The American Thinker ^ | 15 Mar 14 | Thomas Lifson

The progressive dream, of a benevolent state led by the best and the brightest caring for a grateful population unable to fend for itself, is dying a painful death. And it is starting to dawn on some of the smarter Democrats -- people like David Plouffe -- that they face an electoral Armageddon in November.

In an interview with Al Hunt broadcast aired last night on Bloomberg TV, former Obama adviser Plouffe:

I suppose so. Probably an easier task when one is not an agnostic, though...

“Asking them to pay money to join a health-care exchange, it seems, is too tall an order — even though the presidency they created depends on it.”

Eat your peas!

Yes, Korea & Germany are sterling examples.
Same people, different government policies, huge difference in results.

But the liberal morons are obsessed with equal results regardless of efforts rendered.

Socialism fails always, always. The left thinks their superior to history.

But Obama does have their backs.

Because that's where they keep their wallets

If they ever wake up, the whole Democrat Party is in deep trouble.

I agree with the conclusion but that's a big "IF" we're talking about here. I have no confidence at all that this bunch of know-nothings will ever find out what's really ailing them.

No idea. I think they ran the numbers, figured out that I don't actually have any money for them to steal charge me, and referred me over to Medi-Cal (who hasn't contacted me yet...

They're waiting for you to give your bank card information to Betty.

Boehner and his GOPe leadership might be motivated to do something but you'd have to get them sobered up first.

- Confiscation of Retirement Accounts

So, what happens if you’re not willing to invest in Obama’s MyRa? How does the government get the funding it needs to continue financing and growing the debt? The answer: FORCE you to make your retirement funds accessible to the government.

If you do some research on US Bill “HB5337,” you will find the plan to nationalize retirement wealth. On May 6, 2012 Lauren Schmitz, a research analyst at the Bernard L Schwartz Center for Economic Analyst (SCEPA), introduced HB5337. This 401(k)/IRA de-privatization is the brainchild of Teresa Ghilarducci, whom through funding from the White House and the Ford & Rockefeller Foundations engineered a new “Regulatory & Tax Incentive.” The purpose is to force Americans to convert their Retirement Accounts into Government Managed accounts.

The government will nationalize retirement accounts like IRAs, 401Ks, pensions, 403Bs, etc. so that you will be forced to use a portion of your retirement wealth to purchase U.S. government debt – debt that will ultimately default, as it is not possible to sustain our astronomical debt nor the deficits that create it.

This plan to nationalize private 401K and IRA retirement accounts is being deceptively publicized as the government protecting the public against business failings or state bankruptcies. But the reality is, your cash, your retirement funds, your bank deposits and your investments are at huge risk of being confiscated by the government through some contrived reason or another.

Don’t get cocky, guys. I’ve seen such “we can’t lose, they can’t win” rhetoric before - then ended up with the Obama ... twice.

And many of them still think that there would be no difference if "the evil Mormon" won.

“What went wrong?”

Well, that’s simple enough to answer: obamacare wasn’t free like the yutes were lead to believe it was going to be, but instead they found out they were going to be coerced into paying a large percentage of whatever money they’ve managed to scrape up during the jobless plague of obamanomics to buy extremely expensive and extremely useless health insurance that almost none of them actually need or be forced to pay a stiff fine instead. In other words, they found out they were not special like they had been taught all of their lives, but instead were merely peasants like the rest of us.
