“BRING BACK REAL JOBS”
Agreed, 100%.
But that’s my point: a diploma is worthless because they’ll hand one to any little snot who shows up. You have to bring an AK-47 to school and kill half your graduating class to get kicked out as it stands. Because education is “a right” and if you are in that room with a teacher (regardless of whether the teacher is tied to a chair and doused with gasoline) you are “getting an education” as far as the general public is concerned. But I’ve been a teacher for 10 years and a Freeper for 12, and I can tell you: the teachers are only a small part of the problem.
No one is saying to adopt them. Saying ignore them. The fight is taken to them every day. When we keep it out of the news we win. The left is about emotion and sensationalism. Take that away from them and they have nothing.

Sorry, but I cringe a little every time I hear/see that, as it excuses those responsible. The regulation enforcers are denizens of an out of control executive branch and are empowered by an apathetic legislature who defer to the regulator's legislation by fiat. If the problem is ever going to be fixed, we those who created it must be held accountable. The regulators simply did not spontaneously arise form thin air.
I agree 100%. When you see some of the GOP “leaders” threatening to crush the Tea Party, that tells you all you need to know.
Undocumented Democrats is right. And I see that as a major problem, because we are moving towards a one-party political system, and that frightens me.
OMG...Pogo! That brings back memories of when the Sunday comics were actually something to look forward to.
Something happened to them over the years. Too much derisive and sarcastic humor, and not enough things that just make you laugh because they are funny.
But what Pogo would say is true. We all bear blame.
“No one is saying to adopt them.”
You said our candidates should do exactly that. Go back and read what you wrote.
Yes, I miss the old comics still. I have seen it written forty years or so ago that one easy way to judge a person’s level of intelligence was to note what they thought of newspaper comics. I never knew a real thinker who did NOT like Pogo, Lil’ Abner, Snuffy Smith etc. I have known a few who thought they were only for children but that is because they lacked the depth of thinking necessary to understand them.
Your political party’s agenda is to gain power. Party unity helps with that, but it doesn’t help the country very much.
