Harris County sheriff's deputies in Texas are investigating after a father shot a 17-year-old boy whom he found in his teenage daughter's bedroom.
Officials said Friday the 55-year-old father has not been arrested and investigators will ultimately hand over their report to the grand jury to consider possible charges.
According to KHOU-TV in Houston, the incident began when the girl's brother went to say good night to his 16-year-old sister and saw a pair of feet sticking out from under the bed. The brother alerted their father, who went into the bedroom to investigate.
When the father confronted the boy -- identified as Johran McCormick -- his daughter denied knowing who McCormick was or why he was there. The father called 911 about 2:30 a.m., police said, and a confrontation with McCormick ensued.
According to KHOU, the father told sheriffs deputies that he saw McCormick drop his hands and he interpreted that as an attempt to grab something to attack him, so he shot the boy once.

eouw pls shoot me
Much better than killing the guy!
Dad was a pretty good shot. From the looks of the photos, he had a greater chance of hitting his “little” 250# “flower” than that skinny guy taking a self photo with his phone.
I’m backing the Dad in this case. (Good shooten!)
If that was my daughter, He’d of likely had the same thing happen. He wasn’t sitting there being polite, he was doing things that got him shot. Like someone else said, if you get caught in someone else’s house, better act real nice.
A bit extreme, if I do say. The daughter won’t be getting dates for a long time.
According to Texas law, wouldn’t the daughter be culpable for the murder charge? She was the one whose lie caused the death, giving the father the right to kill him.
No way can you justify shooting a kid because he was in the wrong place and it is beyond incredulous that the girl did not know the kid was under her bed....
Dad shot him because he reached for “something”....could have been his phone...
From a personal experiance throwing the young lad out on his ass by way of the front door is far more statisfing than having to kill him....
Trayvon’s Brother?
I got to check Texas law...but I would have shot him in the crotch myself.
Don’t know about ‘the right to kill him’. But that will be analyzed as things go forward I expect.

You show up in the middle of the night in some one’s home you might get shot and you might die....and it’s your fault ...not the homeowners’!!!
good grief... the kid died for THAT!!?!
When my wife’s niece was about to be married the future husband comes to my wife’s brother to ask for her hand. He asked the kid if he loved his daughter. Kid say’s yes. He asked how much do you love her? Kid says; Mr.ee...”I love her enough to die for her”. Wife’s brother says” that’s good...because I love her enough to kill for her”!!!!
I call it a mercy killing.. he was trying to save the boy from tapping that!
ugh! epically ugly girl.
A news release from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said officers are preparing
a case that will be presented to the grand jury.
It is not uncommon in Harris County for grand jurors to decide if a crime was
committed in fatal shootings that may have self-defense claims or other legal issues.
end snip
Well, at least you acknowledge that the father had to kill him.
I did?
is far more statisfing than having to kill him....
It was probably a Freudian slip, with your subconscious sense of right and wrong gaining control of your fingers for a moment.
