Oh, they want to win but keep the whole big government agenda from 2001 onwards going. But of course, if they can’t win on that ticket, they feel it’s better to let the other half of the Uniparty rule the roost.

Agreed. I've seen zero evidence that the GOPe wants anything to do with winning back the Senate. I'm starting to think that we actually have Democrats running the GOP - there isn't much else that could explain how totally wimpy and stupid the GOP looks these days.
