First, I appreciate your correction and it does matter. Also, I was taught years ago that in writing to a married woman, in this case Sarah, the proper way to address her is Mrs. Todd Palin, not Mrs. Sarah Palin.
I didn't realize that "Ms." was a leftist idea, but rather a convenient way to address a woman when not knowing if she was single or married.
The term "Ms" goes back several centuries but in recent history, the revival of that honorific was strictly due to the concerted efforts of leftwing radicals and feminazis. It's well documented numerous places on the web, one of which is: How to Make a Language Difference - Ms Sheila Michaels.
Ping to KC Lion, a staunch ally of Sarah Palin and as one quite a bit younger than I, may not be aware of the leftism associated with "Ms". Those born after, say, 1950 or so may think that "Ms" is just part of the everyday lingo but it was popularized by the same evil crowd pushing the baby-killing and sodomite agenda.
